Probably a bit of both. Coastal not a GREAT pitching staff by any stretch of the imagination, but anytime you can pound out 17 hits and 14 runs (at least), it's a good day. CCU plays in a band box stadium and tough place to pitch in so not sure if the ERAs are too significant…..or the batting averages either. JMO but the swings just look better today....... Other than literally just a handful of bad at bats and bad pitching approaches to a hand full of batters, this was an absolutely great game by auburn. Auburn played some decent mid-week teams after some really tough SEC weekends. Younger players just really struggled with all the grind. Auburn 6 101 Posted May 31, 2019 Share Posted May 31, 2019 Just got back from the game. We looked good today, better than we have recently. Coastal's pitching didn't look great, but their hitters did a good job of putting the ball in play at the beginning and middle of the game. We absolutely poured it on at the end which was nice. Good, solid, confidence building, win. Stadium wasn't packed but the AU fans definitely outnumbered the Coastal fans by about 2:1. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
