Every morning when it’s 70 degrees and morning dew outside, there will obviously be nearly 100% humidity ( amount of water vapor in the air.) The dew point is the water vapor saturation point. The higher the dew point number, the more uncomfortable you will be. Lately the dew point number is over 70 and over 70 is considered oppressive. Got it WIllard Scott (lol)! There is a wonderful 18 hole par 3 course in my neighborhood that is the best in most of North Carolina! I have a golf cart that I keep at my home that I am allowed to use anytime I want to play a round of golf. Mind you, it can be a mean little course if you get out of the fairways! I am old coot who can hit a modified 16 degree lofted 460cc head with a graphite shaft cut down to 7 wood length about 170-180 yards. We have some long par 3s close ot and over 200 yards that can be tricky boogers! We have bent grass greens that are better than many of the par 4 courses in the area. Our golf pro / course superintendent knows how manage the course better than a lot of pros on larger courses. The course is called Sherwood Forest Golf Course and semi-country club! Look it up online. If you ever come this way, I will treat you to a round in my modified club cart golf cart that can hit speeds of 22 mph! I'm getting my money's worth when I play. I like to think of myself as a hazards specialist.

AUBwins 10,075
Felt a hint of the nip yesterday. Beautiful evening, the smell of grass clippings and burning limbs and leaves in the yards from the previous storm, with a slightly lower temp. Just gave me a thought of Auburn football on a Saturday evening. So when does the official Nip thread happen? Lol.

AUsince72 11,084
We're going up to Knoxville on Monday to see family and scout out some houses/properties and it's actually supposed to be hotter, while we're there, than here in Sarasota. Therefore the nip MUST be here....
