While bama and LSU both play Florida and Tennessee...and skip UGA ...

Auburn only has to play UGA this year..

..Of course Spurrier's gamecocks will be tougher than usual...so I'm not trying to diss them ...but Auburn has a definite scheduling advantage over the two other competitors for the west this year...but just as always,if we beat lsu and bama we win the west.

Yes, but LSU has Florida and Tennessee at home.

Auburn does play Georgia.... on the road. So basically we have a 1 game advantage. Well seeing that Auburn plays at LSU, it takes 2 games to overcome a loss. Even if LSU loses both those games (which they won't), we'd have to win the rest, including AT Georgia.

LSU has the schedule advantage because they play the best team in the west at home. We had the advantage last year, this year it is LSU. To think, if Auburn lost to LSU and won out, LSU still goes to the SEC Championship.

Of course, I remember many years when Florida & Georgia were our two permanent east foes while Bama skated with Tennessee & VANDERBILT!

Having to play LSU in their own place is going to be difficult this year. It will be our second away game in a row. The one beneit is that our off week comes before we travel to Arkansas and the LSU.

Having the off week where it is makes the UGA game larger because we don't have that extra week to prepare like in years past.
