They are both about equally mobile. Neither guy is looking to run, and Freeze isn't really looking for that either. Basically, that isn't going to be the deciding factor if they like Thorne's arm or health better.

Why is it our Auburn media and even some fans can always gets atleast a picture of visitors but these transfer QB's are like DB Cooper? Why does Casey Thompson need a police escort like a U.S. President and come in with tinted windows on a private entrance (sarcasm) just to visit? The next school he attends will be his 3rd in 3 years, why does he need to be hidden from media? 

We have ALWAYS seen Harsin with each visitor and the Cruitin' finger. We always get interviews and photos of BIGTIME visitors, commits, transfers. But for some reason, not a single pic/video/interview of these transfer QB's and then they always slip out of town under the darkness of night and refuse interviews. Why don't these transfer QB's ever mention Auburn contacted them, offered them or wants a visit? Spencer Sanders even went to social media to say he NEVER talked to Auburn or had contact with Auburn.

Is our media trying to keep our fans hopeful and coming back for more each day? As much as this QB stuff gets talked about (its damn near every podcast and article), why haven't they atleast gotten one picture from a cellphone? These QB transfers always mention they're visiting Ole Miss, Texas A&M, etc. But at Auburn it has to be total secret. 

I want it to be true more than anything but part of me wonders if it's a slow sports period for our media and they don't want to lose their customers and its seemed to work perfect because we all talk about it nonstop.

1. Have some kind of issue with keeping guys interested if their name gets dropped. (If you're going off of reports by insiders on this board).

2. Everything gets treated like its all being done sleazily and illegally, even if its a completely normal thing. 

It almost makes it sound like recruits are embarrassed to be seen in Auburn or Auburn is having to cover it up for some massive over the top reveal that is comparable to Hulk Hogan turning heel.

In the last few days we have started hearing news about various Portal players visiting Auburn across a few positions WR, QB, DB, Edge, and LB with some saying they were impressed by Auburn. I realize many still have other visits and then I am sure some NIL negotiations will also need to occur. My question is are we expecting any commitments from this group this week or next week or do we expect most of them to be a long drawn out process?

Like most I am in the Spring recruiting doldrums and I need a commitment fix.

Thorne seems like the better option IMO. He is healthier, he can throw it deep and has more years of eligibility.

People are talking about Thorne at QB, but he has not even said he is visiting yet.
Casey announced he was hitting the portal and 3 days later he was in AU.

I would take either him or Thompson at this point. Im hoping we are about to get a commitment and TJ is leaving because of it.

HF and Staff are really doing the work. When they arrived we basically only had Dylan who never put on the weight to be a true edge and is now in the Portal. So Edge was extremely weak. They convinced Falk to change his FSU commit and join Auburn, they convinced McAlister to transfer from Vandy to Auburn and now Mcleod plus zeek said we may have another Edge on the way. These coaches came in looked at and evaluated the players we had returning and made up a wish list of what we needed. In a short period of time they have almost completed the wish list.

Wish List 

O-Line and lots of them - Completed and still trying.

LB - need some brought in two good ones and still looking.

Edge needed some - discussed above.

WR - Needed some brought in one so far still need at least one stud and they are working.

RB - Brought in Battie even though we already had a very good stable of RB's.

TE - Brought in a good one.

QB - TBD 

I probably missed somebody but man am I happy with the recruiting so far.

If they get one of the two QB's who they are currently trying to convince they will basically have rebuilt this to a team that can really compete in the SEC.  I keep saying after last few years I am going to keep my expectations low for 1st year but it is getting harder and harder to not start expecting a good year.

There is a chance that 8 of the 11 starters on offense will be new transfers. Think about that for a second.

Then we should take Thompson if he wants to come to AU. 
I am sure that HF is better at this recruiting QB thing than Gus and Harsin. I have ptsd on getting QBs to AU.

Are we waiting until Thorne graduates. Is that this week?  He must be No.1 choice right now or Thompson would likely have said something by now, like AU is leading but he has a couple more visits. Or CT could have been disappointed if he wasn't pretty much guaranteed the starting job. Who knows? Most of us think either one of them would easily win the job if they are 100% healthy without a guarantee. Hopefully we'll know by end of the week.

If CT is not committed by this weekend, he will move on and visit other places.
