Republican state legislators have been planning to attack her for a very long time. The 2023 legislature established the Prosecuting Attorneys Statewide Qualifications Commission made up of 8 political appointees for the purpose of investigating elected prosecutors and removing them from office if they are found to not be doing their job.. whatever that means. The existence of that commission is in limbo due to litigation.
