Big East Prop 48 Rule

Proposition 48 is an older NCAA rule that says that if a player has a GPA high enough in core classes and a weak CEE score that he can still play under certain conditions too tedious to list here. Dye was a big believer in prop 48 rule BTW. I think he even lobbied for it.

The and most major conferences have stopped 48s from playing. Whitehead can play at Louisville, in the Big East because they allow 48s. The and the ACC do not.

Question: Will we see a drop in play from Miami, BC, and VT because of the 48 rule change with their recruiting?

Miami, definitely yes. I think we have already seen a hint of it.

VT, not really sure. Time will tell.

BC, no. They have higher standards as a school in the first place.
