DKW 86 7,475
http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/u...1006kicker.html Coutu out for the year! Corrected! May have to sign in to read. Georgia head coach Mark Richt announced early Friday that All SEC kicker Brandon Coutu will miss the remainder of the 2006 season with a kicking leg injury. In his absence, junior Andy Bailey will take over field goal duties. Coutu suffered the injury Thursday in practice while the team was going through onside kickoff drills. It was initially declared that he would miss Saturday's game against Tennessee, but an MRI Thursday evening revealed the injury would render him unable to play for several months. A strength heading into the season, Georgia's special teams has suffered more than a couple of setbacks since week one. After missing two games suspended, All SEC punt returner Thomas Flowers suffered a leg injury that has sidelined him for the rest of 2006, and, after going five years without a blocked punt, Ole Miss was able to knock down two of All SEC punter Gordon Ely-Kelso's attempts last Saturday night in Oxford. . AUesquire 1
Sorry, but he can't be a Junior. He actually hit the kick that tied Auburn one year back when Barfield was coaching. He's been there longer than some guy named Ely-Kelso.

SouthLink02 8
Bailey is far from that great. His leg is actually better then Contu but his accuracy is about as good as mine.
AUloggerhead 2,260
Season ending injury from ... onside kicking drills? Gotta admit, that's a new one. Tough break for UGA, flukey as it is.
