apologize to the board. I created a signature of the new "Operator" album cover. My intentions were to share with you guys how good this album is, not promote softcore porn. I apologize to anyone that I might have offended.

It astonishes me that members of this board would complain about an album cover I added to my signature, but when I make a public apology for the discretion, there is not one reply. I truly regret my lapse in judgement and have tried to amend the situatation. Yet, I must point out that there are some arrogant members of this board that are quick to point out the indescretions of others, yet will not acknowledge an attempt to make amends. I am not looking for praise or redemption, but if the image I posted was so offensive, I would like to think that certain members of this board would have the courage to acknowledge my regret. You sirs are the "casters of the first stone" and need to look within for a serious self-appraisal. I again, apologize for my indescretion, yet if it were so atrocious that I need to receive repeated e-mails and PM's from the MOD's, I would think, you sirs, would have the manhood to either respond to the post...or...at the least...PM me. I have been a member of this board since 2003, yet, I do not post much, I read and respect everyone's opinion here and have made an honest attempt to not be controversial...and this truly bothers me. I would think "Auburn men" would have more respect for a peer than simply pointing an anonymous finger and disapearing into the crowd...that, sir, is the definition of cowardly.

I'm sure the mods, and admins are truly sorry for your hurt feelings. Does that help? If not, I guess there's always direct contact as opposed to barfing this out into the open forum. Your response here seems to be as bad as what you're complaining about....

Allow me to speak for the mods:

To my knowledge, no one was reporting you to us or pointing anonymous fingers at you in judgment. A moderator ran across one of your posts and saw the album cover. He then ran it by the other mods to see what we thought and we all agreed that it wasn't appropriate for the forum. Apparently the exchange went very well between you and him and it was done and forgotten. No harm done.

Now, in case you haven't noticed, there's been something of a firestorm around here the last few days. Something about a ballgame on Saturday got people all riled up and I know I never even saw your original post apologizing for your sig. Topics have been coming fast and furious and your post got buried. Plus the moderators have been working overtime to keep things in check with all the tempers flaring.

All that to say: chill. There was no need to publicly apologize in the first place. You were cool about it when asked to remove it and everything was fine. But even so, try to keep it in perspective. People aren't exactly paying attention to non-football topics on this board the last few days.

I will simply point out that the focus of the members of this board have somehow shifted over the last few years, and other members, such as I, have preferred to post on other sites due to this shift. Although, I tend to come back here and check on any "breaking news"...I prefer to have discussions elsewhere. The one attempt I make at becoming a contributing member of this board, again, resulted in an unfavorable experience.
