Link Alabama football coach Nick Saban flew into a Baton Rouge airport Wednesday, The Daily Reveille learned through anonymous sources. Saban was escorted by Louisiana State Troopers to an undisclosed location. actually, he was in Monroe, LA at an in-home visit with TE Tyler Edwards. he was at Edwards' school a little after 9AM, then went to Edwards' house when school let out. Monroe is in the NE part of LA, and Baton Rouge is in the SE part. btw, he was in a UA jet and it landed at Monroe Regional, not in Baton Rouge. and as far as the LST? that was a nice touch they tried to put on it. but hey, don't let little things like facts get in your way. My husband, who is not into the coaching rumors at all, just came in and said it was "confirmed" that Miles was going to Michigan. He said that it came from the internet. But of course, he didn't know where. He said he was scared to death that $aban was going to LSU. Said he heard that $aban was in Louisiana yesterday. It was so hard to keep a straight face! Details of the extension are expected to be released by LSU, which has scheduled a 1:45 p.m. press conference prior to today's Southeastern Conference title game between the Tigers and Tennessee. LSU will reportedly make Miles one of the highest-paid coaches in the country. Earlier in the day, ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit reported Miles has agreed to become Michigan's next coach and will be introduced at a press conference next week. Herbstreit also said that Georgia Tech defensive coordinator Jon Tenuta would accept the same position on Miles' staff at Michigan. But LSU and its coach were already putting the finishing touches on a deal to keep him in the Southeastern Conference. I guess we'll find out soon enough. It's a fact. And then they get absolutely IRATE at Al Del Greco for merely mentioning once that Saban was going to LISTEN to offers from LSU. "He ain't got no sources! He's makin at up cause he's an Aub and he's skeered that Tuberville's leavin! Fahr his sorry ass! Just plain irresponsible!" And he did in fact fly out to Baton Rouge. Yet the media circus around Tuberville was absolutely and completely manufactured based only on the fact that he went on his annual hunting trip in the same location he has for years in his home state, which also happens to be searching for a coach. If Tuberville stayed, Saban was leaving Alabama. They said that Saban knew he couldn't beat Tuberville. Now that Miles is staying at LSU... Saban is in a s*** hole.
