Not a spike lee fan but thought these comments were interesting. Kind of interesting that Obama's pastor of 20 years running his mouth could do so much damage to his campaign. Of course Obama had no idea he had these radical thoughts and after 20 long years of support has had to denounce the pastor and seperate himself from him.

Lee hinted at a political conspiracy behind the Chicago pastor's recent, contentious attempts to justify his remarks. "It looks like he's being paid to keep talking," he said.

i guess it would make sense to think this is a politcal conspiracy cause Wright already believes in some.

I don't think the Rev can help himself. It's how he's made his living, it's in his make up, to " speak out " , no matter what. Only here, it would do him and his entire movement justice to see Obama elected President. But then, that would only invalidate many of the Rev's claims about how racist the U.S. of KKKA is, so that puts him in a pickle.

It's a classic Catch 22 scenario, brought on by the Rev's intellectual dishonesty in wanting there ever to be " fairness " , as he calls it. He wants 400+ yrs of oppression of the Whites, THEN he'll talk about things being "equal ".
