Tigermike 3,046
Gordon Smith is notoriously anti-war and the only Republican currently holding statewide office in Oregon. You do know Obama won the state primary by 18 points over Hillary don't you? If Smith bets wrong and Maverick pulls an upset, what’s the GOP going to do, ostracize him? But does this mean Obama is endorsing Smith for senate? No, no , no! You know all that talk about Obama's bipartisianship is just BS!

Do you think Smith has endorsed Obama? No, he's just trying to use him to get elected. There's your BS. BTW, Smith voted for the war, supported it for three years. When the heat got too great, he changed his tune, hoping to survive.
AUTiger1 0
So, then Obama must have hated when Lieberman endorsed McCain? Or does that not matter b/c Liberman is more moderate than he is a true blue liberal? Or is that not the same thing since it was Democrat turned Independent Joe Liberman? I'm sure Obama would prefer to have Lieberman in the fold. Lieberman begged Obama to campaign for him in the 2006 Dem primary, and he did-- despite their differences. But I doubt that Lieberman will ever run for re-election in CT citing his strong support for Bush or McCain.
AURaptor 1,126
Yeah, because McCain has never reached across party lines to author any bill or legislation.
