Haven't been to many games then have you? Do you think making a TUF donation and buying a ticket is paying face value? Did you find anything more than a single ticket for $125 for SEC championship game?

I want to go to this game worse than you can possibly imagine, but not bad enough to turn some a-hole a 500% profit.

I have not seen many asking for 500% profit...

Ticket from Auburn site $300.

Shipping and Handeling $25.

TUF donation per ticket $62.50

(at $500 per ticket level)

Thats $387.50 PER Ticket

I know some who are looking to try and get 2 per ticket TUF donations back, which would be...

$450.00 per ticket...

what is TUF?

Tigers Unlimited Fund.

It is what you have to pay to the University to be able to buy season tickets.

There are a bunch of different levels.

I think the levels go somewhere like...$250, $500, $750 etc. the higher the level the better the tickets.

I would NOT consider TUF dontations as above face value more a tax right off donation to the university.

And have never used this as an excuse to rip somebody off. Was it Chizik that said your circumstances should never

dictate your character?

And actually I did find more then a single ticket for $125 to the SEC Championship game I found the three for $110 which was face on all three I used. Actually I have SEC Championship tickets EVERY year and have yet to sale them above face.

Hell I went to the Iron Bowl found an honest AU guy who sold me a great ticket in an AU section for face value. Guess you reap what you sow.

Probably going to Zona without a ticket but sure I could find one for a decent price.

Couple of questions...

If you have tickets for sale every year for the SEC Championship, why did you have to buy this year?

If face that you paid was $110 and Auburns were $80 how much are you willing to spend once you get out there?

(Auburn face is $300-$325)

My wife and I are doing the same. You think the chances are good we can get tkts? I've got a buddy who went to Pasadena last year and said it was no problem getting tkts. Just hope they're legit.

Man some people you have to spell it out. Being a boy scout and always prepared back in 1995 the first season

AU became eligible for the SEC Championship game as a freaking high school senior working a part time job I bought three tickets to the SEC Championship game. Either myself or family has renewed each season since. So as long as I renew I get them each season for face. If Auburn goes I use. If Auburn does not go I sell for face to those who do go.

Probably the reason the tickets I had were face $110 instead of Auburn's 80 was they were club level and better seats I guess AU did not get any club level seats in their allotment.

IF Face is $300-$325 I anticipate I will pay $300-$325. I know several Alabama people last season who could NOT even get face for their extra tickets in Pasedena. Also was told there were tickets near the stadium for say $200 bucks.

What everyone fails to realize is sadly another reason to hate bowl games instead of a 50/50 split on the tickets

AU gets like 17,500 while Oregon gets 17,500 and corporate hacks get the rest. All parties involved would be better off if this was played ON campus and since AU has a larger stadium AT AU. Cut out the middle man and fleecing of universities by bowl honks.

Also I might be wrong here but I would much rather attend a game at Eugene then Glendale.

At the SECCG people were outside by the droves looking for tickets. If you go to Arizona expecting to buy tickets for face value you are likely to be terribly disappointed. In fact you may not find tickets at any price. But good luck.

So your telling me face value is $300+, does anyone else have an issue with that?

It's definitely at $300 face value (that's what Auburn put on them as face value; Oregon put $1100-Go figure). $25 for shipping, handling, fees, etc. The TUF donation or better yet you are reimbursing for the TUF. Its a tax write off if I'm not mistaken; plus, its already been paid so paying the TUF fee you would possibly be paying for next year's on one seat or all seats.

The Colesium seats over 100K people. Gillette Stadium seats 68K plus Clubseating and suites, I think there were just more seats available for Bama's game. Good luck but I think the ticket chances are slimmer for us.

bama didn't play in the Colliseum, they played in Rose Bowl Stadium which, as you say, seats over 100,000.

As far as the TUF donation goes, you have to have given at least $10K to be eligible to get BCSNC tickets through the University. I only know a couple folks who would qualify for that on an annual basis. Probably only a couple on this board. So adding in the TUF to the price of the tickets out in Glendale is a bit hard to quantify.

If you are going to AZ without tickets, prepare to pay MUCH more than face. You might even get shut out.

Looking back, this seems hilarious. Nothing personal against you Ravad, just commenting on how the prices have gotten out of control.

If I can find Doc Brown and his time machine, I'll gladly go back now and pay $650+fees. As it is, I'm making the trip without a ticket and hoping and praying. Very real possibility I'm making a long trip to sit in a sports bar, and I'm unfortunately prepared for that scenario. But if I don't go and at least try then I definitely won't make it into the game.

It's not on an annual basis. It is total accumulated gift. Lots of people on this board probably have an accumulated donation of over $10,000. I have over $30,000 over 48 yers of buying season tickets.

What's kind of funny is I'm sitting here looking at two tickets I paid $300 each for and thinking I could sell them for over $2000, make a very nice profit, and stay home. But seeing the Tigers win a NC is priceless.

That's what I said. My point was that to add the TUF onto just this year's bowl isn't possible UNLESS you have given over ten grand this year.

If you are a scholarship donor, then that total dollar accumulated donation gets up there much faster. Be in that program for 20 years and your donations total over $100,000. Sure tell them how much to sell their tickets for, go ahead.

You got that kind of loot seems to me its not going to hurt your wallet to sell for face just a thought.

That is not the point, they are not going to get that $100,000 back by selling tickets. It is just their option earned by those donations to do what they want to with those tickets. They can give them away, sell for face or get market price for them. Others have the same option to donate at that level and earn that right. Many of these scholarship donors are not rich, they just prioritize their annual donation and make allowances for it. Just like some drive expensive cars or buy a bigger house, it is their preference to fund an annual donation.
