TrumanCrockett 0
First day of the event is underway. So far we have a man in the finals for each race and the medley relay just made it into the final as well.

aucanucktiger 1,798
Setting a school record in any swimming event @ Auburn is mighty impressive, well done and War Eagle Zane!
TrumanCrockett 0
I think we are in fifth after one day. AU swimming and diving said it was a good day but we left some points out there. But having a man in the finals for each race is nothing to ignore. Not to mention that many of the swimmers are juniors or younger, six sophomores. I see a championship coming very soon if we don't pull it off this year.
autigeremt 6,688
If we win it this weekend, it will be the biggest NCAA win ever. With only 11 swimmers, it will be very difficult to get enough points to win the team title.

Southern Cali 79 8. Florida 58 9. Louisville 46 10. Texas A&M 43 11. Ohio St 42 12. Indiana 40 13. Arizona State 31 14. Georgia 25.5 15. Florida St 25 16. Penn St 22 Today's preliminaries are not encouraging. We simply don't have enough guys that qualified in the prelims to hold on to our standing through tonight's finals. Mikey 16,725
Men swimmers finish 6th. We've got to get our numbers built up to where they were a few years ago. A team cannot have a realistic expectation of winning the NCAA meet taking just 11 athletes. Around 20 qualifiers and you've got a chance. Final standings: 1. Cal Berkeley 535.5 2. Texas 491 3. Stanford 426.5 4. Arizona 396 5. Michigan 271 6. Auburn 254.5 7. Southern Cali 192 8. Florida 157 9. Louisville 156 10. Indiana 140 11. Georgia 106.5 12.
