I was of the belief that we would never be able to recruit like AL, UGA, TN, LSU, and FL in the SEC. Of course we are a fantastic school with a great football tradition but we are also not the "state" school and I always told myself that this was the reason we were not able to recruit the top players.

Well, I was wrong. It just takes coaches who know how to build relationships with these young men and show them the Auburn family.

It really is remarkable how far we have come in the recruiting world so fast. A few years ago I was hoping to get maybe 2 or 3 of the top 250 players in the country in our class. Now we look for multiple players in the top 100 in our class. I hope it continues for a long time.
