Transfer Rules & Signing Class Impact

How do transfers impact the 85 & 25 limit numbers? And I'm not talking about graduate transfers... For example: the DT from Texas Tech that is looking to transfer? We are one of several schools that are looking to get this kid in for a visit. He's been at Texas Tech for 2 years, so he should only count towards the 85 limit, correct? Are we allowed to sign as many transfers as possible until we hit the 85 limit?

1. If they go on scholly with their new school before they are at the new school 2 years they have to count against a yearly 25 new enrollee limit. That means any transfer has to be at AU for 2 years not being on scholly before they can go on scholly & not count to a yearly limit.

3. Wrong. The only exception is if he walks on at AU or any school for 2 years before getting a scholly.

4. No unless they walk on. You can take as many on scholly if you want til you get to the yearly 25 new enrollee limit. We have 1-2 spots left in the 2016 new enrollee limit pending on whether the staff counts Bill Taylor in the 2017 or 2018 25 limit.
