3* OL Connor Lew has picked up two projections to Auburn. He was believed to be a Georgia lean for a while.

Visited for BCW, gets an offer, and does this the very next day. Weird behavior for sure. Pinkston thinks we'll keep pushing but I don't. This is his second time committing to a lower tier SEC school. Insanely rare a kid commits to three schools.

With HUGE momentum happening with Hughley/Lew/Gernorris we can afford to move on from him.

Came to BCW and we told him we would need a decision this week. He felt like he wouldn't see the field here and went somewhere it seemed more likely to see playing time. Nega-barners will cry about it but not a big loss here honestly.

Also, I believe Auburn leads for Gernorris Wilson (by a good margin) but he made it clear today he will use all of his Official Visits before making a commitment. So we won't know his choice until after his season concludes.

Ashley William, 4* Edge, committed to Auburn yesterday. 

JC Hart, 3* CB, included Auburn in his top 4. We are believed to land him soon. 

3* OL Connor Lew is suddenly trending towards a Miami. It was a two team race of Auburn & Georgia. Not sure what happened but JLee said there's something working against Auburn that's out of our control.

3* OL Shivers is still being pursued.

The rest is so unclear. To be honest with you guys I think there are five-or-so guys that we could land right now but the staff is remaining selective despite the number of misses. It is what it is. They seem to be confident in whatever their process currently is.

 

Sorry I haven't been updating more. As I mentioned in another thread, I am now on the admin side of education and working a totally different schedule than I am used to doing. Here in a week or two it should slow down as I get in a rhythm. Honestly though, there hasn't been much to share anyways. We are about to "miss" on a few guys we haven't pursued in months so nega-barners will be back to full steam.

We have genuinely missed on a few guys like Lew but NIL is kicking our tail. Not to mention Cristobal is a great recruiter even without the added muscle of money.

Will Friend still is my main target for frustration in recruiting. He seriously accomplishes nothing on the trail. Never hear recruits raving about him. C-Rob struggling at LB recruiting is baffling to me as well. We really wanted guys in that 6'2" range and now the ones we wanted all seem to be gone. Ike having issues at WR isn't surprising for a guy not used to college recruiting but a little disappointing considering his NFL pedigree.
