That would be funny since from my understanding, busy is the last thing that he is. Not exactly a guy that comes to the office a lot.
-
But the question is, are we going to be worse?
-
Not to hijack this thread, but it seems there has been very little real information come out this spring, whether from insiders or even the beat reporters. Does it feel that way to others or is just me? We are getting the typical "sunshine pumping" articles, (that is not a knock on Harsin, we have always had those type articles with all coaches), but not much else.

I am actually amazed that 750 people picked St Peters over Kentucky

Providence Christian product walks-on as R.B

I actually thought there is a roster limit per the NCAA which would included scholarship and non scholarship players. I may be wrong, but seems like I read that somewhere. -
Best AU Basketball Article Ever Written?

I know he has been reviled on this board, but kudos to Jay Jacobs for knowing what Auburn needed then going out and getting it done. -
I know that at the first of the year, the competition can vary, do you think we are playing the same level of teams as last year, or harder or easier?

What Alabama high school coaches have to say about Bryan Harsin
80Tiger replied to McLoofus's topic in AU Football Forum
What so many of you don’t get is that this is not about Malzahn. He needed to go. This is about Harsin being a bad hire. His resume was average. His name was not thrown around as being in demand by different major schools. There was concern about his ability to coach and recruit at this level. And all this is proving to be true. -

Right now Harsin is abt 7 losses per year -
AU Florida game in 1970 I think. AU intercepted something like 6 passes that day

It is shocking to read that he has not been to Thompson High School. That team is always loaded with talent and especially this year. It is irresponsible for him to take this kind of attitude. This is absolutely the biggest issue people had with him being hired; he had no recruiting relationships with coaches or players and evidently is in no hurry to build them. He is just riding the clock until he is let go. The quicker he is done at AU will be the better. -
I think this is correct. The only thing I would add, is that the recruiting success has to be evident at the early signing period. A 5-7 losing record means no bowl game and the season is over with the UA game. If we don't have a big early signing day, I don't think he gets to stay around until the second signing period

Looks like a good hire for sure.

Spring preview: roster outlook on offense
80Tiger replied to aubiefifty's topic in AU Football Forum
Problem is, there does not seem to be any indication that person is on campus. Finley showed what he was down the stretch; Calzada ranked worse than Bo in every statistical category (worse completions %, worse yards per attempt, threw more interceptions and was sacked more times); DD did not take a snap last year when there was plenty of opportunity, Ashford has not sniffed the field while at Oregon and we have an incoming freshman. I just do not feel very good about the QB position at all. -
Nice. There is only about 40 years between Philpott being president and Gogue being president. If Philpott said it, we only played 10 games per year. 80% win percentage. If Gogue said it, we play 12 per year and a 66% win percentage.

I know when the facility was built. The point is that PTB type people ponied up the money
-
Really? Where did the 100 million dollars come from to build the b-ball facility?
-
Maybe it has been mentioned but didn’t Shivers miss a game due to something non injury? The impression on this board was that Shivers was as good kid as they come.

Harsin: ‘Any attack on my character’ is false

No, I think there are legitimate questions being asked, but exactly which "character attacks" is he responding to? The tweets from a former player? -
Harsin: ‘Any attack on my character’ is false
80Tiger replied to aubiefifty's topic in AU Football Forum
I read the article and a few questions come to mind. Outside of internet chatter, who has made an attack on his character? Has there been an official statement from AU that would be deemed a character attack? Has there been anything from what I would call the legitimate media? Any articles accusing him of something wrong? If so, I have not seen them. I have seen internet comments and tweets from players past and present but I don't consider that legitimate allegations. It is somewhat interesting that he would be responding to those things. There will always be internet chatter. So exactly who is he responding to about these "character attacks"? I think it odd he mention that you have to let the head coach be the head coach. Most everything that has happened the past year has been from him; hiring assistants to firing assistants, recruiting, transfers in and transfers out all lay at his feet. -
More than likely they doubled their income by coming here. You can put up with a lot when the bank account is benefitting

You don't want a coach who couldn't win at UF.
