Thorne played well enough to win the game yesterday. Even with an ugly stat line -- and the INT was on a hail mary so I forgive that -- he played well enough for us to get the W. As far as next year, he'd probably do well for himself to pull a Bo Nix and find somewhere with an OL to play behind and some WRs on the outside. I don't think he'll be on anybody's draft board but right now we are a QB graveyard.

Not mad at the decision to catch the point personally.... But you gotta catch the damn thing. If he does the initial task at hand we aren't even talking about alternative scenarios. Was there some traffic around him when he was trying to catch it? For sure, but not anything out of the ordinary other than the fact he fell or slipped as he tried to make the catch. Not sure if he slipped due to turf or just was not tracking the ball very well and at the last second tried to re-adjust and it was too late.

Too early to fire Freeze but to hope he's going to magically stop pulling this type of BS is just silly. His entire track record is like this. We have to learn to live with it and hope he raises our floor to the point where if we land extraordinary talent to ride through the coach's BS and bail the decision making and lack of preparation out. We will be good for 2 stinkers a year, if Freeze's career history is any indication (it is). Just hope we can get a game changer to fight through it. Luckily we can survive a loss or 2 if we hit the right wins in a 12 team playoff. But Freeze is not an upper tier coach. He's basically a modern fusion of Tuberville and Gus. At least Thorne saved us from the dumbassery of putting Robby in the game. Particularly on our last full drive. It was dumb to not instruct Battie to try to save clock on the last return. The 4th down conversation will go on for the rest of Iron Bowl history

ok so we basically need to just expect to have a total dud at least once a year under Freeze, similar to the Tuberville era. But I'd argue that the new chapter of college football we are about to enter is actually favorable for a team like us, considering our schedule strength and the rivals we play. We can drop a game (maybe even 2, given the right circumstance), and still make the 12 team playoff. Yes, I know it's insane to think about making the playoffs less than 72 hours after getting punked by New Mexico State at home.

Lol relax. We lost to a top 20 team. We were in control the whole game. Our guards need to learn to finish. They're the youngest part of our team. They'll need to learn how to navigate the end of the games. We are gonna be fine
