  1. Once again: (Please read slowly) Poor voter eligibility requirements/oversight of vote counting leads to suspicion. I'll stop there, as your ability to comprehend seems limited.
  2. Players leaving who were starters/regulars at their old school. What the devil do they want? A guaranteed position with no competition?
  3. That's the source I referenced. Suspicion about the legitimacy of the election was and is common in Alabama. Do you always have this much trouble grasping a point?
  4. There is a rivals basketball forum. This should be there.
  5. Why is this in the football recruiting forum?
  6. Where did you pull that from? I haven't heard anyone complaining about shady election procedures in Alabama. We have a very good system in place. The complaints I heard were about situations in northern urban centers and to some extent, Atlanta.
  7. Who spoke of moral victory? Votes cast by legitimate voters and accurately counted should be every American's preference. Yet the liberals don't want it.
  8. P. Marshall has hit it on the nose here. Four years ago I said I'd give it (NIL plus unlimited transfers) five years to see if I still cared as much about college sports. It didn't take the full five years. Do I still want AU to win games? Sure. Am I as enthusiastic about college sports as I used to be? Not at all, and the degree to which I care continues to decline. The amounts of $ I give to AU isn't much compared to what some of our multi-millionaires give but what I do give goes 100% to the academic side. If somebody wants their $ to go to athletics, that's their money and their decision. The current college sports setup is not sustainable. Donations to support such is investing money into a sinking ship.
  9. I said I got the information from watching Fox News and remarks of people in Alabama. Those are legitimate sources, you need nothing further for the purpose of this discussion. The last time one of you sufferers of TDD got me to chase around the internet finding old quotes was, indeed the last time. Also I have a question: Why are Democrats so violently opposed to a system that would require verified voters?
  10. Thanks. Sorry you are too dense to get my point. Should I simplify, knowing that I'm dealing with an ideologue?
  11. He's a former McDonald's All-American. He had a very weak freshman year and actually got more playing time than he should have. In this day and time I expect any player who under performs to transfer out. That sort of lets him blame his prior school instead of putting the blame for poor performance on himself. Look around the country and you'll see this over and over.
  12. Absolutely correct. What kind of nerd memorizes something like that or makes a note of sources?
  13. Maybe Philadelphia. It's been a long time now and unlike some, I don't obsess over this stuff. The point is that the appointed watchers were not allowed to do any meaningful watching. IIRC there was more than one place where this happened. One place had to get a court order to allow the watchers to see anything meaningful. It's crap like that that causes suspicion.
  14. I love your optimism, but we were good guard play away from going very far in the tourney this year and have lost three of those guards plus J. Williams. Some unproven pieces are all going to have to fall into place for AU to make a run next season.
  15. Because Fox News had actual film of the watchers being forced to watch through a glass window, outside the room where the counting was done. What could they watch from there?
  16. Disagree. There were people around here (Central Alabama) who went to bed thinking Trump won and woke up to the opposite. Lots of talk about stolen election long before Trump mentioned it. I didn't think Trump had won because I knew that there were major urban centers whose votes hadn't been counted. However, a lot of people felt and still feel that the election was stolen in the dead of night. Secure procedures for voter ID would correct that, along with bi-partisan watchers in the counting places.
  17. I don't remember the level of suspicion and distrust in earlier elections that we've had since the move to massive "no ID" voting.
  18. I finally saw the A-day game, televised last night on the SEC channel. I'm somewhat encouraged. It's obvious that Cam Coleman is in a different universe than our other WR guys. You could see this when Terry Beasley and then later when Frank Sanders were newcomers. The difference being that barring injury, we could expect four good years out of those guys. Now, who knows how long any player will be at AU? The current situation is disheartening.
  19. The poster known as aubiefifty posted in a thread in the basketball forum that they were "threatened" and would not post here again. I sent a DM but received no reply. Don't know what to make of it or why anyone would threaten fiddy. Here's the quote: " Posted March 28 this is probably my last post. i was threatened and some say i was not and are blowing it off. i have witnesses. hell they will not say anything. i can sign out and still ghost the site. thanks for those that put up with me and have a great one" It's on the first page of the thread "Bruce goes on a rant"
  20. Who knows? A system that requites adequate voter ID would remove all doubt and end future controversy.
  21. My carry choice is a Smith & Wessom M&P, but to each his/her own. As far as elections go, all that's needed is required voter ID and in-person voting with the few historical absentee exceptions.
  22. Either running backs Cobb or Alston leaving would be a kick in the teeth. Battie or Jackson, not so much.
  23. No. Other schools have scholarships from gambling money PLUS more NIL for baseball than AU has.
  24. It came to this in part because every one of those 15 games was against a team ranked in the top ten nationally. Add in no scholarships from gambling money and not much NIL for baseball and we are where we are. Coach Thompson has proven that he can win when he has the right pieces. AU baseball is going to need a boost from somewhere for us to be competitive again. The problem isn't the coaching, the coaching has got AU into the CWS, baseball's "Elite Eight" in two of the past four tournaments. The problem is the support, which is sadly lacking.
  25. Won't happen. Coaches don't think like that. Their main objective is to win the next game, regardless. Player development can come in practices and the off-season. If a youngster wins a spot, great but he won't be starting just to get experience.
