  1. Dumb question when we get a Silent is it usually because the coaches want it that way so that they can get a commit at a time that will help the team or is it usually because the commit wants it that way? While I know that people who publicly commit do change their mind I would think it is harder to change a public commit then a silent commit. If coaches are asking somebody to wait for a commit for an impact time are they not taking a risk?
  2. Current Long Snapper is on scholly, This kid fits a need as punting, field goals and extra points are keys to special teams having somebody you know will get the job done is a plus Kicker needs the ball in the right place to do their job. I am very happy to get this kid. War Eagle. On Punts i wouldn't be surprised to see this kid make a tackle or two before he is done at Auburn.
  3. Maybe I am reading more into the various comments then is really there. But it sounds like we have slow played Britt and UGA has shown him more love. Now that it appears we may not get Ignont and Benton we are starting to show love but now he has UGA number 1. Am I reading that correctly?
  4. I hope you are right and he makes a selfish decision.
  5. That bump shows our coaches know talent as they wanted him well before the bump.
  6. Agree completely CK was pretty good before he got to Ole Miss, he just got into some trouble at Clemson. But he did very well when he transferred to a Jr College. He does seem to be a hothead, though. Maybe without a stellar O line and very good receivers, some defense can inside his head and mess him up. With a stellar O-Line and very good receivers most QB's look pretty good.
  7. Every large QB that is looking at signing with Auburn or has committed to Auburn will have a statement attached to him like: Reminds me of Cam The next Cam Looks like Cam etc. Cam set the standard and there will be unrealistic expectations and comparisons. Running backs get compared to Bo, Caddy, Ronnie Brown, Offensive tackles will get compared to Greg Robinson is it fair no but it will happen.
  8. I think Friday afternoon. I need more coffee then. I thought today was Friday lol. Ha! I was wondering about that. It went from commitment day to Thursday. Crap It's never a good way to start your day when you think it is Friday but it is Thursday. Nope, not good at all. Sad thing is I have had days like that myself.
  9. Like Cole he is one of my favorite Linebackers. Maybe keeping fingers crossed we will finally get a LB class that will make Mikey happy. With us looking ok for a few more.
  10. Welcome to the Family TD. This is a big get for Auburn hopefully the beginning of a great LB class. WAR EAGLE.
  11. Probably want to get him on campus and look at him before offering. I hope we don't wait to long.
  12. What I really liked in this article. Was the statement I want to start and not redshirt then being honest with himself and us that college is a different speed and it will have to see what happens. He is good and he is very confident I want all my top recruits to be confident. I don't mind a little cocky either but I also want them to have their feet on the ground and realize that there is a huge difference between HS and college. That way they will come in with the right attitude and realize how hard they will have to work to reach their goals. I also like that when asked about his game he gave an honest appraisal about what his strengths are (running and the long ball) and the areas he needs to work on (footwork and reading defenses). This is a 16 year old with talent and brains he will be great get when he gets here.
  13. Winning two camp awards like that he won't be a 3 * for long.
  14. That's good, but there have been a lot of moms that loved AU and then watched their kid play elsewhere. Rashad Evans is the first that comes to mind. We've won our mom battles too though. Never hurts to have momma on your side Unless Papa has the more influence...Thank you Daddy Davis for Kyle. Wel then it never hurts to have Papa on your side......hell just go ahead and add sister and brother Add girl friend to especially if she is coming to Auburn
  15. Apparently back at the beginning of December Rodney Garner visited him and gave him an offer. He is 6'2" 220 pound Linebacker. He is has visited Auburn multiple times and he seems to like us.
  16. I think this kid has his head on straight he knows what he has to do and he will do it. I look forward when he joins Auburn.
  17. In one week this went from a meltdown thread to a celebration. Just like in the game the football sometimes takes some funny bounces. Congrats to you Steeler fans the organization does it the right way and deserves it.
  18. Steelers are a well run organization that get a quality receiver like Sammie at a relatively low draft position. They get to teach him their system and work on his weaknesses and when Salary Cap hits them and they lose 1 or 2 of the leagues better receivers they have quality replacement in the wings. This is one of the reasons Steelers are such a strong organization. They have a bad year they don't panic because they have a long range plan in place. Auburn and other college and NFL teams could learn from them if they were not in such a hurry to win today and we will let tomorrow take care of itself.
  19. Welcome to Auburn and War Eagle Welcome to Auburn and War Eagle
  20. From all I have read this kid is a great Talent. I thought by now he might have gotten his 4th *. When do you think he will be reviewed again by the different services?
