My great Aunt was buried at Elmwood Cemetery in Bham that day. She had helped raise my father so she was kind of like a Grandmother to me. I remember going into the funeral home soon after the game was over and watching a car go by and hearing screams of War Eagle. The funeral was not to begin before the game was over per her wishes. His point has some merit regarding the difference in the conferences but I thought Bo had NFL aspirations. If he thinks they’ll just care about a guy doing his best win or lose, he best rethink that. It’s purely business and it will be more of an SEC mindset than PAC for certain. The fans do need to check some of the emotion but he’s not going to find a “laid back” atmosphere anywhere in the NFL. The problem at Auburn was that his two head coaches were too laid back to ever provide him with the tools to be as successful as he could have been.

For a mediocre baseball player ( I didn’t know those players became All Stars), he sure does have a lot of highlights that some longer tenured players wouldn’t come close to in either league.

Choosing to play two major opponents from out of conference instead of one like everyone else is bold but not smart when you are the only school doing that.

At least Sark did beat Bama. It’s a start but not much more than that.

So there is no way this committee sits around and waits on Sunday games to be over before they start the seeding. We were a 4 seed heading into the tournament and I’m thinking the brackets were pretty much done as well as the locations. Sure, NC State threw a wrench in things and probably another game or two but I think 90-95% of it was set before the conference tournaments started.

That’s the way I feel too. I hate that the travel is more expensive and difficult for the many fans. We have a really good team and some people may not have realized that no one is happy to see us in their bracket either.
