  1. Interesting - my wife lived there (on the Wire Rd side) for a few years before we moved in together in 2018. No issues back then except drunk kids being too loud now and then.
  2. @RunInRed You really holding the Dark Theme hostage for a donation? ๐Ÿคจ I'll consider it........... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  3. Been absent a while so this is news to me. Absolutely heartbroken to hear he passed. ๐Ÿ˜” Always loved interacting with him and I will certainly miss him here.
  4. Wait, I've said heard this before... ๐Ÿ˜„
  5. I was very surprised to see the clip surface involving him as it seemed very out of character. Thanks for clarifying!
  6. Boy did he! ๐Ÿคฃ My issue with the whole thing aside, he certainly took it to 'em.
  7. No no no, we can't say it's fine just because we "got away with it" this time. Obviously, we're not seeing the whole picture here (as @Momma Worm is saying) but I don't want our guys being the physical aggressor in these situations. Let that fire fuel you on the field but don't get yourself into trouble before you even get out there.
  8. Not 100% sure, but I think he could've still been penalized and possibly ejected anyway. (Maybe @WarTiger can confirm/deny?) You don't want your guy as the aggressor in these situations. If his temper is up and he throws punches - what is he going to do in the game, especially if your offense is struggling? I'm not saying I wouldn't have done the same as him in retaliation (you are fairly defenseless when someone can grab your face mask like that and that gets you fired up) but you started it by grabbing his first (however briefly).
  9. Love ya 'Loof, but we're going to disagree with this mentality. lol I'm all for playing a fired up Shivers if he wasn't the guy that physically started the confrontation. If he does all of that in the game, he's ejected. That's basically 3 personal fouls on Shivers and one each for two Florida players. That's just not okay.
  10. Okay.. are you still going to be saying that if Gus comes out and says that Shivers has been suspended for his actions pregame? Or that he was suspended for the Florida game because of it? If so, that's an avoidable consequence.
  11. C'mon guys - I don't mind the smack talking or the retaliation - just don't be the first guy who gets physical with it. That's the only part I took issue with. He could've ignored them and kept his back to them. He could've walked away from them. He could've just run his mouth right back at them but he grabbed the face mask first. That puts him at fault. Doesn't matter if they were on "our side" of the field. It's Florida - that kind of crap should've been expected. LSU and Georgia will probably try similar crap before the game. The players can't let it get to them like that.
  12. No, the problem is that Shivers initiated contact by grabbing the UF player's facemask. Doesn't matter where the players were on the field or what was being said, unless they grabbed you first, you don't act out like that. I love Shivers, I like his fire and his fearlessness to go at it alone against 3-4 other players but don't be the guy that starts it physically.
  13. I'm going to assume that we got away with a targeting call (on Britt) this weekend against FL. Mullen tried to challenge it (but couldn't) but I'm surprised the booth didn't call it.
  14. 100% this. There looked to be ZERO adjustment after all these fumbles. Still running with the ball out away from the body, etc... it's infuriating!
  15. I'd give Gus a B+ for this game. We got conservative too soon and A&M was able to figure things out and start scoring. That last TD drive was great but we needed another one of those before then for me to give the man an A. If we do this crap against LSU (again), Georgia, or Bama we're doomed in those games. In fact, if we're not doing everything we can to score every single drive against LSU, I'm not giving the man an A grade even if we win by 2 TDs or more. (Yes, I'll be happy with a win dang it, but after last year I want Burrow to regret ever coming to the SEC.) Negatives: penalties and conservative calls in the 3rd quarter Positives: special teams and run game/o-line play (minus an individuals lack of effort that resulted in at least two negative plays that I noted). Nix has got to start connecting on those deep balls. This offense can be really good once that starts happening. Heck, make one or two of those against A&M and Gus probably would've gotten the A from me. Not his fault, he's not the QB, but he shoulders the results! lol
  16. For sure! QB depth was a huge liability and still is to an extent. O-line depth is even scarier to me so I'd love to get those backups time on the field over the next 2 weeks.
  17. I'm thinking we see Bo Nix for 3 quarters this week and let Joey finish the game out. A lot of issues early in the game could be attributed to timing - game speed plus knowing your receivers, so I think they'll try to get Bo as many reps as possible (unless we put up 42 in the first half). Definitely want Gatewood in there in the 4th at least - and passing the ball around too - just to keep him primed if we happen to need him for more than just a sneaky QB keeper at the goal line.
  18. I keep telling people we have talent on this team and they are like "Huh?! Who?!" THESE PEOPLE!! lol Makes me question whether people actually pay attention to the games or just look at the score now and then. ๐Ÿ™„
  19. A lot of those from last season were by Stidham, so him not running as much definitely helped lower that number. lol
  20. I honestly did not know that. Thanks!
  21. Man, all this has me excited for the future! Auburn could be GREAT on offense again if we shore up our o-line. Also - I'm still peeved at all this recruiting nonsense based on size alone. Deshaun Davis played more like a 5 star than most 5 stars did. Size helps but not enough for me to say that OP is 4 stars versus 5 just because he didn't grow a little more. If the extra weight/inches slows him down and hinders his ability then I'd rather him stay where he's at. Obviously, Auburn will beef him up a bit and condition him to play at that size, but his natural ability should outweigh (pun possibly intended) any negatives regarding his size.
  22. I know many contribute to the recruiting updates - so thank you all! I don't have time to keep up with it as much as I used to. I'll be traveling tomorrow so I'll check in now and then to see how it's going. I'm excited!!
  23. Bo is an Auburn guy - with or without the current coaching staff. I love guys like him who just want to play for Auburn, win or lose. He's also been our #1 asset in recruiting Owen Pappoe (5* LB).
  24. I saw this situation over the weekend and was able to provide more insight thanks to you!! lol I might be wrong, but I don't believe they actually flagged the receiving team for a delay of game though. Otherwise, everything else was spot on.
