  1. Vols fans are now the SEC equivalent of soccer hooligans. Who brings a golf ball to a football game other than a troublemaker?
  2. I am flummoxed by the whole quarterback thing. What I think it boils down to in my mind is that we want a QB that is the best of Bo and the best of TJ. Unfortunately, technology won't allow us to merge them into that complete package we all want. I am also of the strong mindset that a team -- in order to gel and perform at peak efficiency, must have a consistent hand on the tiller. A quarterback tandem has worked in the past when the two complement each other's strengths and weaknesses, giving the defense an unknown dimension to deal with on each down, i.e. wildcat type situations. Right now whoever walks to the line of scrimmage or under center as it were, presents the defense with fewer options to worry about... except for Bo, whose style of play is anything but predictable because of his propensity for improvisation, if not productive at times. That makes for a lot of antacid intake in the fan base, but I can't help but think some defensive coordinators are popping a few trying to figure out how to defend some things Bo showed vs. LSU. The Reece Davis Tiltawhirl metaphor rings true here. It is going to be a long season of uncertainty and perhaps situational quarterback play is the answer, albeit far from desirable. It is always best to have a clear path for leadership on the field. I am willing to back the player that is backed by the coaches and -- perhaps more importantly, his teammates. The latter cannot be discounted. Who do the players (on both sides) want as their field general? I don't think Bo is going to settle down into a consistent pro-type quarterback. Ever. And I don't think TJ brings that element of improvisation that can create fourth down magic, which is not to say fourth down efficiency. Headed to Amazon for bulk Rolaids.
  3. Just soaking in the Morning After love. It just permeates the air like flatulence at a chili cook-off awards ceremony.
  4. Zykeivous Walker... also my nomination for the AU All Name Team.
  5. Yeah he typically torches the bridges as he leaves town.
  6. First half was not the same team from the first half of the Akron game: sloppy, unfocused, low level of energy and emotion. But given the ease of last week and I am sure a lot of looking forward to Penn State, it is not terribly unexpected. Nice adjustments at the half by the coaching staff, but the issues from the first half can't happen against a talented or well-coached team. Staff will have to get everyone focused again quickly.
  7. So many pieces of the puzzle outside his control must fall into place for it to be "the year." And in that context, it is perhaps an unfair expectation. Nix stepping under center for the first time already had myriad challenges beyond his making and beyond his control. The ghosts of every "year that never was" are heaped onto the shoulders of every quarterback to ever take a snap wearing Burnt Orange and Navy Blue. No other position has these expectations and the accompanying scrutiny, not even highly regarded running backs. Perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime talent like the other Bo. Sure, the potential payoff is big, but at what price? We, as a fan base, often forget in our well-intenioned fanatic fervor, that these young men are often of insufficient emotional maturity to handle the expectations of a starting quarterback in the SEC. Most other young men of a similar age never have expectations of such consequence and high pressure, and still many of those are often afforded do-overs, second chances and mulligans in everyday life. Is this the year? Only time will tell.
  8. Hunter and Jackson are grown-ass men. Good to see there is some promise behind Tank and Worm.
  9. Now I am wondering if even Finley will get another snap tonight.
  10. False starts are mental mistakes, and those just drive coaches bonkers. Not as concerned about holding unless it becomes habitual.
  11. When is the last time you saw an illegal wedge penalty?
  12. Whew. Bathroom break. Not a fan of streaming app.
  13. Nah, don't need to dissect every little thing. That's so last season. 🤣
  14. I am starting a GoFundMe to send all CFB announcers to a pronunciation clinic. Is Auburn that difficult to pronounce correctly? Musberger started it. Damn him and his helmet hair. AH-burn. Ugh.🤐
  15. He has apparently had multiple drug-related arrests and substance abuse problems over the years. Sad to see.
  16. I downloaded the ESPN app, signed in with my YouTube TV credentials and I should be good to go. Because I get access to SEC Network+ via my subscription, I should have access to the streaming content and hence the live game. Because it is not on a standard, allotted network slot, regardless of your TV subscription, you will have to watch SEC Network+ via the ESPN app on a smart device (phone, tablet, Roku, Fire TV, Google TV with Chromecast, Apple TV) or on WatchESPN via a web browser where you have signed in with your TV subscription credentials (Cable TV, YouTubeTV, Hulu Live, Fubo, Sling, etc.
  17. I think Cam's sell-by date was end of last season.
