Agree. We will not recover from this down cycle in even two years. This is no better than the first year of BH. HF fooled AU as usual when getting hired. If he luckily wins a bowl game to go 7/6, the powers that be will obviously give him a huge raise. Just out of energy and out of breath with this program. Most inconsistently run Power 5 program in the country.

Exactly. This O has been so poorly coached all year, but yet HF has no issue placing blame on the players. Honestly, I’m sick of hearing him speak already. Great job hiring another sub par coach that hasn’t proved anything anywhere. He based this whole season on being bowl eligible in year one. Well, BH made a bowl in year one too. AU will NEVER be relevant again in this league. Would love for someone to argue the point.

I find this HF coached team pathetic! Everybody bitched about BH first year, but looks identical to me. Recruit all you want to, but if you can’t coach, what’s the difference in not recruiting but coaching. A fine line. This team will fool nobody next year regardless of who signs. This is AU. Bottom tier of the SEC and will sink further once we add TX and OK. Wave goodbye to any potential recruits in the stands.

I will rarely complain about the refs. If you depend on them, then a team has not been coached properly or prepared correctly. This guy must have HF figured out, which is not an impossible feat. Appears Liberty is even better without him. Bring in five 5 stars and plenty of talented 4 stars next year, but something else is missing here. I’ll stick by my thoughts on not believing in this hire and if he proves me wrong, I have ZERO problem admitting I was wrong.

Would like to see Cobb and Alston as well, plus let HG throw some passes, but no letdown. This team may have lost to UMASS, but they have won 8 already. Everyone healthy at the end of game.

Agree, really wow. Arky, went in to FL and put up, what 36 last week and beat them for first time in 20 years. Our D is playing at an extremely high level and I believe we finish reg season at 7/5 which is a big improvement. I also believe if PT sticks around, we will be even better next year. He didn’t run this O at MSU and our O line seems to be improving each week.

Best offensive showing all year against a capable QB. Our D is really good and had we not played musical QB’ s earlier in season, we might be 8/2 instead of 6/4. Regardless, looked good on both sides of ball and we now know why RA is not our QB.

And there in lies why RA is not a starting SEC QB. Great runner but just not a true QB.

Good points. This game makes me really nervous after watching what Arky did to UF in the swamp last weekend. I’m still doing some thinking before I make a prediction, but your post seems very spot on for this season and for the play calling so far this year.

Alston appears to be a good Tb, but he’s also been injured. After what I read earlier after the game where our supposed leader and HC was laying a lot of blame on our QB at the end of the first half, disgusts me honestly. I mean does HF think he’s the second coming of Saban? If he’s so brilliant, then bank his job on RA and see how many passes are completed by him. He’s accepting very little to no responsibility for the product he’s put on the field. I bet money, Vandy’s coach would school him if he has AU’s team.

Exactly. Good teams don’t do that. Obviously I truly hope we get there by next year, but I currently just don’t have a ton of faith in this coaching staff actually coaching the players up. We are really very far at the back of the SEC and adding Texas and OU will not help. Not trying to be a downer, but I saw at least 14 points left on the field by poor play calling and a lack of people to catch a ball that hits them in the hands. After what Arky did to UF today, I honestly don’t see us beating them on the road next week. Our ceiling was always 7/4 but I’m hoping for the split.

Normally I would agree, but I currently have very little faith in our OC our HC and our WR coach. I will admit when I’m wrong, but this currently looks far too similar to the GM offense, that nobody was fooled by at the end and even currently at UCF. Great to recruit good players, but if they aren’t put in position by coaches to be successful, recruiting becomes moot. Glad for a win on the road, but this O leaves a ton to be desired. Nobody is scared of AU.

We may need 10-14. To me, this is all on coaching, or an extreme lack there of. This team hasn’t gotten out of its own way in almost 4 years. We can’t hold a decent lead against the worst team in the SEC. Arky May very well beat us.

Don’t agree. He can move better than a regular pocket passing QB, but with a better OL and at least 1 or 2 receivers that can beat man coverage, he’s a bit trapped.

This is an absolute incompetent WR room. Pair that with a very suspect OL and extremely odd and poor play calling and you get the product we have been seeing all year. Lucky we have a lead at all, but getting the ball first in 2nd half, we need to put 7 on the board. It’s like our receivers can’t beat anybody and get separation. Practice or not, this team appears really poorly coached.

Honestly don’t think we deserve a bowl game. HF brought in a very decent transfer class, but yet he seems to have potentially brought in an OC that is way in over his head. He’s got some big decisions to make in his first off season and if he screws it up, he will never see year 4. I think he gets 3 years minimum which is fair. There is talent on this team, but as usual, seems it’s not being coached very well. Our WR coach, should be moved to recruiter only, because I’ve seen 0 from him as far as on field results, but then again, he’s not calling plays. I will give Vandy plenty of credit, I mean this freaking series is tied.
