Agree totally and never wanted him, but those in charge must be brilliant with their choices and thinking. After 2 more crap years, Auburn will be paying it’s third coach to not actually coach. I’m in total awe at how this football program has gone to bottom four in 10 years or less. Recruiting doesn’t and never meant a damn thing if there are no good coaches to teach them.

Thank you. He wants to recruit and teach. The problem with that is, college ball is no longer set up that way to wait a year or more to develop the most important position. I mean look at Kiffin. He knows the portal is becoming even more important in order to keep pace and that’s why OM is years ahead of us, as are plenty of other SEC teams. Extremely difficult for me to even look forward to next year, based on what I saw this season and today. I’m not suggesting we fire him, but he just can’t be given as long a tenure as GM was, without year in an year out positive results. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, but Mizzou should be a much harder job to succeed at than AU.

I never saw the allure of hiring him, I definitely didn’t see anything spectacular this year and I have very little faith in HF even making AU a top 9 SEC program next year or 2 years from now. Mizzou is a what a well coached team looks like.

True, but a good salesman whose product craps out, is usually looking for a new job. We will see about HF.

Agree. Talented receivers won’t matter if there’s nobody to deliver a decent ball. HF may be digging a hole already by not going after anybody else.

Nothing will change. This is the AU football program now. Great recruiting class won’t matter.

This game was like all games coached by GM. We wasted a lot of years and money on him. So glad he’s gone.

Sure did put a scare in UGA. I like him. He’s been good for Tech so far. Grew up loving AU due to my father being an alumni, but have always lived in GA. Have never liked the dogs. Fans are more obnoxious than most Bama fans I’ve been around.

Agreed. If an O can’t evolve or the play calling, it’s stuck. UCF is where AU was with him the last 2 years or so. Nothing against GM, but being only an hour away from ATL, I’m pulling for Tech. I like their HC. Time will tell us about HF and his acumen.

Awesome job by this staff recruiting and then keeping recruits committed. Currently watching GA Tech- UCF. So many of UCF O play calls resemble stupid GM play calls from years ago. Safe to say he has not evolved very much. With that being said, I truly hope that HF, who’s from that tree of O calling is willing to evolve more so than GM did/has. UCF raced out to a 17/3 lead and now Tech has tied it with a minute before half. Don’t miss GM one bit.

Very true. That’s what scares me. Hopefully we pull it out and gain even more momentum going into February and the spring.

I agree. Cobb and Alston, while talented, are smaller backs. JH is a bigger guy that can handle SEC hits better, but I don’t think his exit would have a treacherous effect on our tailback situation.

Hard to say. Tank Bigsby, has a whopping 37 carries for 84 yards and a 2.3 average, on a likely playoff team. TB is a short shelf life obviously and most of the NFL is a passing league now. I didn’t think would be overly successful and I don’t think that JH would be either. Good luck to him whatever he decides.

Agreed. A bad O starts with the HC. We were really lacking in talent at WR last year, but no excuses after this class. I believe PT is more than capable with a decent OL, to throw for plenty of yards and decent play calling.

Saw this article as to where he is undecided. I believe it would hurt some, but not be as big an impact as we think. AU rushed for almost 2,700 this year and he had 865. I believe we are good without him, but I think it’s a mistake for him to go pro.

Not sure about that yet. HF recruits better I believe, but in my opinion, his coaching is still unproven even though he has been a HC at an SEC West school. Sorry, but I really can’t base a coach being good from decent years at Liberty. Hope we take some steps forward in 24.

Agree. I believe he loves being at AU and he is a very important piece to this team.

I sure hope so. Hopefully longer in the system with hopefully some stud WR’s will help. I keep reading that we will not land any of the top portal QB’s, which I kind of expected.
