Quit whining about the damned referees. We aren't playing as well as Arky, and that's why we're getting whipped.

The #1 needed change: allow teams to elect to inbound the ball after a foul instead of having to shoot free throws. No wait, that's another sport...

Bruce is an excellent coach who has made some bad decisions in the past couple years, and will rebound from them. His biggest mistakes include losing out on some really good guards and having to settle for the ones we have, and not making them play team ball. He lets them shoot logo 3-pointers with more than half the time remaining on the shot clock. But his job is (and should be) very safe, and he has some good recruits coming in the next couple years. Our future is bright. I'd like to throw a pie in his face for letting Green play me-ball, then shake his hand and buy him dinner for all the good he has done for Auburn basketball over the past 9 years.

I really liked Kermit. He will land on his feet somewhere and some team will be glad to have him.

This kid was a distant cousin of mine. I was a student at Auburn 1981-1985. My mother told me a story in my freshman year about a distant cousin of mine and former Auburn student who just disappeared one Sunday on the way back to Auburn from his parent's house in Georgia. His roommate reported him missing after about a week. Wow. Now we know the rest of the story.

This is a guard-driven league, our guards are average at best, and they're probably not gonna get better in the next 3 weeks. I'm over it. I find enjoyment in watching Broome play.

This somehow reminds me of the story about the team of surgeons who performed emergency surgery on Ronald Reagan after he was shot by John Hinckley. After the shooting, the Secret Service got Reagan back in the limo and were afraid they did not have time to get him to the Naval Hospital, so they rushed him to George Washington University Hospital. Reagan was then rushed into the operating room, where he said "I sure hope all of you out there are Republicans". The head of the Trauma Team was present, and replied "Mr. President, for today, we're all Republicans". Bennet is arrogant and overrated. No way he was the best NCAA QB this year. I'd take Bryce Young or CJ Stroud over him without question.

Yeah, Broome got hot in the 2nd half today and led a comeback. Almost got there.

We have no go-to scorer, but I think Jaylin Williams could become one.

Tough to watch. Let's see if we can mount a comeback. Hard to watch their guard make it look so easy against our D.

I think we have just been given a mid-season revelation about our team, now that we have entered the tough part of our schedule. We have the same short, average guards we had last year, with no Jabari or Kessler to bail them out. We still have 2 games against Bama, 2 against Tennessee, play at TAM, and play at Kentucky. And we are underdogs today on the road in the Challenge. We don't have the horses to be great this year, and there's no shame in it. We can't be great every year. We'll improve, and we still have enjoyable basketball to watch this year. Except maybe those games at Bama and Tennessee. Next year will be better.

Last night, I think we learned what we can expect as we enter the tough part of our schedule.

I retired in August and bought a house on Lake Wedowee in Alabama, about 60 miles north of Auburn. I bought a Green Blob light for my dock, and caught a lot of crappie, spotted bass, and flathead catfish at night. The fishing was good in August, September, and October, but it's supposed to be great here in late winter thru summer. 16.MOV

I can't imagine shooting one of those. I guess the barrel porting helps. My 20 gauge slug gun starts hurting me after about 5 rounds at the range. Because of that, I now use mostly 30-30 for deer.
