  1. The point is that they played in the championship. Teams that play for national championships are real teams. TCU is not UMass or Samford, they are a real P5 team, even if not as good as last year. Going to TCU, and beating them, with the 1-11 team you inherited is not a joke.
  2. They kicked off their season with a road win against a P5 top 25 team.
  3. It was obviously a gameplan that favored working on passing offense, as plenty of people seemed to hope for. The mistakes are coaching opportunities, and I suspect coaches will make the best of them. They could have probably put together a 400+ rushing gameplan, that wins in prettier fashion, but helps no one.
  4. They have basically had a decade of misery, I can give them a pass for that reaction to a big win. Would have been better if they played this on the jumbotron after the game ended:
  5. It is. Man has played like a straight DT QB tonight.
  6. I do not think he has shied away from contact on any run tonight. Leading rusher on the field, between both teams.
  7. PT is currently the leading rusher in this game. 40 more yards than Hunter.
  8. In SW GA, they have been talking like that in every September for the last 20 years.
  9. He definitely is not a QB. It baffles me that he is not seeing the field as a WR, or RB safety valve. He has the legs, so give him the ball in space he can work with. Use him as someone that either draws defensive attention, or a decoy. As a QB, everyone knows he is most likely not throwing the ball. No one considers him QB2, and if he is playing QB, they consider it a good thing.
  10. He is the danger. He is the one who knocks.
  11. UGA fans have a way of doing that.
  12. As a GA resident, you encapsulated UGA fans quite successfully.
  13. That is correct. While notable, I think a better take from that game would be holding Oklahoma to their least points of the season, and under 200 passing/100 rushing. The lack of points and yardage probably annoyed Riley a lot more than only scoring on 1 and 2 yard TD runs.
  14. I have no issue with the hire, but that statement simply is not true. Oklahoma scored 3 TDs in 2020, and 2 in 2021.
  15. While I am not even remotely religious, I desperately hope that I am wrong. I want to live in after-life where Titan, Ben, and ICHY have to break bread together, in the midst of passionate debate, and I get to be the scorekeeper.
  16. Gus has little need for a good WR coach.
  17. Nonsense, that was the first slice of the DreamTeam pie.
  18. Definitely better conversation than more arguments about why Freeze should or should not have been hired.
  19. My biggest fear there, was that I thought no one should be dictated to whoever the next head coach was. I thought Caddy's work spoke for itself, and the man bleeds Auburn, but I did not think it wise to force-feed retaining him down an incoming coach's throat. Based on what Freeze had to say about him during the presser, Freeze sounded genuinely sold on him, and Caddy earned the job himself. I think that is best for the work relationship for both of them.
  20. I admit that I do not understand it either. That said, I doubt he would be tweeting anything about Auburn, to King, unless he was at least contemplating staying.
  21. I think Gus' OC carousel left many people shell-shocked about who is calling plays. Personally, I do not care much about who is calling plays, and I definitely do not know enough about anyone's playbook to question it, or even utilize it effectively. I care a lot more about the head coach and/or OC developing a plan B, during the game, when plan A fails.
  22. I have never heard anyone seriously do so, even when Tuberville was pushing for it.
  23. With everything he said, I took it as him being surprised by some of the people that have reached out to him, and that some of them are people that he considers to be possibly "better at it" than himself. People wanted specifics, and he did not have any, as he had barely had time to give it real consideration.
  24. I suspect Deion is an anomaly when it comes to the kind of moves that most coaches make, and their reasons for doing so.
  25. If they were not on this board, where plenty of people talk about the same things repeatedly, they probably had not really heard much about Freeze until a few days ago.
