We've also seen a lot of kids transfer because of homesickness. Plus if family wants to attend, that's a lot of time and $.

We've been going to HHI for a long time, really like it there. Probably a 50% chance we retire there or at least buy a place there when we retire. Lots of good restaurants. A few of our favorites: Pizza - Giuseppi's Burgers - Charbar Seafood - Skull Creek and Hudson's - Both big tourist places, but still good food. SC doesn't take reservations unless staying on a Marriott property, so get there early and/or be prepared to wait. I'm sure there are some great "locals" places there we aren't familiar with, I'd ask around. We went to a locals place once for seafood but it's been several years, I don't remember the name of it. With the locals places, the food won't necessarily be any better, just less touristy and probably a little less expensive. HHI isn't that big though, probably difficult to keep a locals place non-touristy. Breakfast - Stacks and Hilton Head Diner None of these places are exactly hidden gems, but they are all good and are our favorites.

Well, my daughter isn't on their radar yet I don't think, maybe that will change.

Just a waste of talent. This kid could have gone far. I was at the game when Marietta won the state championship, the kid was a man among boys. I have a buddy who has insider knowledge at UGA from his connections. Gilbert is apparently a head case. He roomed with Brock V. for a short bit but Gilbert's behavior was so erratic BV moved out. There was speculation he might have legitimate mental issues, but I don't know if that is true or not.

My daughter's HS team played last night. She starts out with her front foot back near the line and then steps in and up as she starts her swing. One of her at bats last night the opposing coach yelled after the first pitch "she's out of the box". Looked at the video later, no she wasn't, but from the coach's angle she probably couldn't tell. My kid stared at the coach and moved in a step, and then on the next pitch hit a laser shot over the LF fence. Moral of the story - don't piss off a big bat when she's in the box!

Any updates? When girls transfer out, do they do exit interviews with the AD or anyone? Curious especially if Carlee or Bri (or anyone for that matter) spoke to anyone in the AD's office about their issues with Dean or the program.
