Auburn gets two runners on in the bottom of the first (2nd and 3rd) with 2 outs. Damek Tomscha gets a drive to left that hits off the top of the monster and goes out for a THREE RUN homer and Auburn's first homerun of the season. Auburn gets the final out to end the threat on a grounder to 3rd that is bobbled and thrown to first for the final out... 4-2 Auburn going to the bottom of the 3rd. On the pitchout, umpire called a BALK... Runners advance and Grier scores. 6-5 Auburn. Tomscha still at bat and they decide to pitch to him after the balk. Tella scores on the play. 8-5. Grier at bat hits it up the middle off the pitchers foot and past short. plates another run. Tomscha flys out to right. 2 outs. 9-5 Auburn. runners on 1st and 2nd. Checks his swing, and ball hits the bat and rolls on the first base side of the pitcher.....grier beats it out at first. Presb. tries a pickoff and throw gets away and Grier advanced to 2nd. no outs.
