baseball vs. Presbyterian game 3

After shutting out Presbyterian yesterday 3-0, tigers look to win the series today. Presbyterian gets a run in the top of the 1st.

Auburn gets two runners on in the bottom of the first (2nd and 3rd) with 2 outs. Damek Tomscha gets a drive to left that hits off the top of the monster and goes out for a THREE RUN homer and Auburn's first homerun of the season. Thompson then singles on a bloop to right, throw comes back to first and gets away and thompson advances to second 2 out. Auburn up 3-1.

Anfernee Grier single to straight away center field, Tella scores from 2nd.. 4-1 Auburn. 2 outs.

Prebyterian has plated a run in the top of the 3rd and has the bases loaded with 2 outs. Auburn gets the final out to end the threat on a grounder to 3rd that is bobbled and thrown to first for the final out... 4-2 Auburn going to the bottom of the 3rd.

Auburn gets 2 runners on, then Ryan Tella hits one to first that goes off the glove for a single and plates an Auburn run. 5-2 Auburn

Presbyterian has taken advantage of a throwing error earlier in the inning and have plated 3 runs. 2outs top of 4th. Game is tied 5-5.

Bottom of the 4th. Grier gets on. Glevenyak hits one to deep left field off the monster. Grier advances to third and Glevenyak stands on 2nd. 1 out.

Tomscha up to bat....after a few pitches into the count, they elect to intentionally walk Tomscha. On the pitchout, umpire called a BALK... Runners advance and Grier scores. 6-5 Auburn. Tomscha still at bat and they decide to pitch to him after the balk. Tomscha singles to straight away center, Glevenyak scores. 7-5 Auburn.2 outs

Auburn has runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs and another balk called on Presbyterian. runners advance to 2nd and 3rd no outs. pitching change for presbyterian.

batter up (not sure who) was hit by pitch. bases loaded. next a grounder to first who comes home for the force then the catcher throws back to first but throws it into right field. Tella scores on the play. 8-5. Grier at bat hits it up the middle off the pitchers foot and past short. plates another run. Tomscha flys out to right. 2 outs. 9-5 Auburn. runners on 1st and 2nd.

runners going on the pitch and the pitch gets passed the catcher. runners advance to 2nd and 3rd. Blake Austin at bat

Sounds like a typical Sunday game...loose play and lots of runs. At least the AU bats have warmed up a bit....hope it is a sign of things to come.

Ryan Tella flys to center....Tomscha tags at 3rd and scores without a throw. 10-5 Auburn. 2 outs. bottom 6th. Auburn has scored in every inning so far today. Connor short steals second.

Anfernee Grier leads off the bottom of the 7th. Checks his swing, and ball hits the bat and rolls on the first base side of the pitcher.....grier beats it out at first. Presb. tries a pickoff and throw gets away and Grier advanced to 2nd. no outs. Glevenyak grounds to 2nd...grier advances to third 1 out.

Presbyterian gets a few base runners, but Auburn closes it out. Auburn wins 12-5. Next up for Auburn is uat in the Capital City classic tuesday night.
