Do certain sites carry more clout than others? Site stars don't matter when determining composite star rating. Composite star rating is solely based on a player's average order rank value from the 4 sites. For instance, to be a composite 5" a player has to have an average of being ranked the 42.5th player or better. You can have guy be the #1 and a 5* on 3 sites. If he is ranked #168 or lower on the 4th site he will be a composite 4*. 168+1+1+1=171. 171/4 sites = 42.75 which does not meet the 42.5 criteria. If you are talking about the lists at the top of the recruiting forum done by RIR he is the only one that can update them and he has not been around much lately.
