The gov't has demonstrated it can't do it. The only reason carbon-based technologies are so profitable in comparison is that their environmental costs are externalized. You're buying the premise that we are harming the planet with our lifestyle. It is all as lie Teddy Roosevelt, and i disagree. Clean air and Clean water are always great things. nobody said they weren't. We're all for clean air and water. You know something. The air and water are both in pretty good shape in this country. It's not perfect but perfection is not possible. Capitalism is great at finding solutions to make it even better. Our lifespan keeps going up Lifespan going up can be traced to increased safety innovation, pharmaceutical advances, and a higher level of medical care. The other question is quality of life and things like cancer rates, lung disorders and other health issues connected with pollutants. Capitalism is essential to sustainability and advances in materials recovery...etc. Think outside the conservative dome for once and do a little homework. You might be surprised. I'm not anti environment. I just know that things are nowhere near as bad as some would have us believe. Like I always say when the solutions stop being a socialist dream come true, then I'll believe. This idiotic carbon tax is a prime example. Labelling something that is essential to plant growth a pollutant is absurd. We don't need to stop raising cattle. I like it when you self-satirize.
