Howard tries to bunt her way on but bunts it too hard and back to the pitcher to end the inning. After 4 complete, Auburn leads 3-0

solo homer to lead off the 5th for A&M. 3-1 now. That player has homered in every game in the series this weekend.

single by A&M... next batter up drops a bunt down, ball comes up and hits her out of the box so there are 2 outs. replay shows the ball didn't hit the player, it hit the bat as she was dropping it. I'm not sure of the rule there so I'm not sure if they got that right or not. But, its a break for Auburn and there are 2 outs and the runner cannot advance and is on 1st. Now a liner down the 3rd base line and into the corner, runner comes around to score and the tag is not in time at 3rd. Had she made the tag in time the run wouldn't have counted. Grounder to 2nd ends the inning. Auburn leads 3-2 going to the bottom 5th.. Auburn needs some runs here.

Carosone, Cooper and Wallace coming up.

After back to back homers from Carosone and Cooper, A&M is making a pitching change. Wallace, Rhodes and Gipson coming up

Gipson grounds sharply to 3rd, throw to 2nd in time, player drops the ball coming off the base to throw to 1st and he said she completed the catch for the out at 2nd. So there are 2 outs and Gipson is on 1st with the fielders choice. 2 outs for Shea.

Shea with a grounder to the right side, cut off deep in the hole toward first and throw is barely in time and that ends the inning. But Auburn gets back to back homers from Carosone and Cooper and extends the lead to 5-2 going to the 6th.

A&M with a single. grounder to short, fielded by Bogaards, short toss to Carosone and then to Rhodes to complete the double play. Bogaards went down quickly after the play and they are having to carry her off the field. That really sucks. Hopefully she didn't re-aggravate that injury that kept her out most of the year (until yesterday)

Going to the bottom 6th, Auburn leads 5-2. Jordan, Draper and back to the top of the order with Howard. Let's get a few insurance runs here.

first pitch lined hard to short and Jordan makes the catch and Auburn gets the win in the regular season finale 5-4. Auburn in position to get the #4 seed and a first round bye. The only game we are waiting on is uga. If they win, we are #4 if they lose, we are #5. Last work uga was winning 9-1 in the 6th.

Thanks for the updates! We needed that win, though it would have been nice not to give up that 7th inning homer.
