Jenny AU-92 0
A CATHOLIC University is honoring a woman who killed her baby? What if she had died during an abortion? Would they be honoring her then?
Auburn85 432
Heck, usually some would run away from a criminal Troy renamed it's field and the Richard Scrushy incident Houston Astro's renamed it's field after Enron, then, after the incident had it renamed But heck, nothing like glorifying a suicide and a murderer
TrueBlue72 0
Unfortunately, this is an attitude that I've come to expect from the leftist "institutions of higher learning", especially in the socialist northeastern US. To a normal human being with a functioning brain, the whole thing is absurd, but to those who have determined that their ideas are superior to those of most Americans it must seem quite normal to "honor" such a person, because she was a member of their enligtened class. Auburn85 432
I just wonder, would they still honor her had she not killed herself and was convicted?
tiger88 934
What a horribly unfortunate situation. I can see how having a baby with down's syndrome who required a nasal feeding tube could push someone over the edge into some type of mental sickness. It seems as though the cutting of the throat could be a signal that she was truly mentally gone. I mean if she was someone just looking for a way out of caring for the baby she could've planned a much better way to disguise what she had done. It is just a very sad deal all the way around. afa villanova honoring her, it's their school. If it were me, I woulda maybe had a memorial ceremony or something to honor her. Naming part of a building does seem like a bit much.
Auburn85 432
Maybe if Andrea Yates had been a professor, maybe they would have done something for her. They obviously must have not mentioned anything about the murder or the suicide at the naming of the bulding ceremony. Probabaly other than a tragic event
tiger88 934
Maybe if she was an accomplished professor and she and all her kids were in the same boat as this woman and her child they woulda. Seems to me like some people might recognize that there might have been something special about this woman before she flipped out. I mean she killed her baby with down's syndrome by slashing her throat and then killed herself and they still honored her. They must have really loved her and felt like she was a victim of some horrible circumstances. Life is too short. Don't waste too much anger on this one. Auburn85 432
A woman who has post-pardom depression, killed her baby by violently shaking it. She has 7 other kids, all by different men. She will not be charged with murder because of a plea bargain. The bargain is that she has to get her tubes tied by a certain date. She will also have 5 years probation. This was in Georgia
AURaptor 1,126
She has 7 other kids, all by different men. Clearly she did not receive enough quality sex education. Another sad product of our society. It's not her fault. We killed her baby.
