For those who don't watch PBS Newshour, they have been doing a week-long series on Russia and Putin. While I already knew Putin was an authoritarian thug and generally popular, I didn't fully appeciate what he has accomplished - and continues to build - politically in Russia. This series by The News Hour has been really eye-opening. It's frightening. I highly recommend them. (Note: this about Putin and Russia, not Trump.)
