#ReleaseTheMemo

It is all getting confusing. Here are two more articles. I would note that is is supposedly senior people at the FBI making comments. So why are they seemingly changing their opinions. Looks to me like we have the foxes guarding the henhouse. In any event Chief of Staff John Kelley says it's going public. As a retired General I trust he wouldn't agree to release it if he felt it would somehow hurt our country.

I sure don't see that having some concerns is BS. There seems to be some differing sources or something because yesterday the FBI supposedly said they found nothing in the memo that wasn't factual. Yesterday those who didn't want it released were citing classified info concerns. Now this on CNN. What will it be tomorrow.............release of the memo I hope. What say you?

I won't be surprised that much of what it may claim is mostly factual, but it's facts that provide context and background that will be missing.

That depends on what his definition is of "hurting" our country.

So you are willing to trust ex generals, but not the director of the FBI?

In other words, the Democrats should have "gotten off their ass" to put together a piece of propaganda to push a false narrative.

And like I said, I hope this thing is released.  Nunce is a wacko and Republicans have a penchant for over-playing their hand.

And you really need to do your homework concerning Putin "preferring the Democrats".  He absolutely hated Clinton and Obama both because they called him out on his own fraudulent electoral activities.  Trump - on the other hand - is someone who is literally in debt to the Russians.  They own him.  This is common knowledge.  Wake up and pull your head out.

Why Putin hates Hillary

Behind the allegations of a Russian hack of the DNC is the Kremlin leader's fury at Clinton for challenging the fairness of Russian elections.

Why Putin Hates Clinton and Helped Trump Win

An expert in US-Russia relations explains how we got to where we are today.

'Putin hates Clinton' and other things FBI knows about Russia

There's lots more on this if you're smart enough to look.

Oh Homey....this is the way politics works...it's funny, Dem's suddenly don't like the political process?  Anytime there is an investigation, there is a majority opinion and then the minority opinion is always released... Dem's just don't like it this time because they're losing the PR battle on this....

And, did you get these articles from the Onion?  You can't posit for serious consideration that the Russians would rather have a Republican in the WH.....oh my goodness....that is rich....let's see, what was it that Obama said when he thought the cameras weren't still rolling....

“This is my last election … After my election I have more flexibility,” Obama said, expressing confidence that he would win a second term.

“I will transmit this information to Vladimir,” said Medvedev, Putin’s protégé and long considered number two in Moscow’s power structure.

And then there was this....

Lame.

This is common knowledge.  Putin supported Trump - or at least opposed Hillary - and is ecstatic watching Trump pull the country apart.

And didn't you folks ridicule the "reset button" from the beginning?  Now you take it seriously?

It's out. Haven't read it yet since I'm at work, so I'm catching French's tweets on the matter. Think he fills the position of unbiased observer nicely.

Yeah, and I'm curious as to why this was "classified."

My guess? Nunes trying to give it an air of mystique.

What's curious is where we go from here. On its face, this does not give Trump the justification to fire anyone without serious pushback, but that hasn't stopped him before.

OK, lunch break. Read the memo. It's hugely unimpressive. Shockingly short too.

It asserts that Page was only under investigation because of the Dossier. Page had been under FISA investigation since 2014 (2013?).

It asserts that the Dossier was a partisan creation of Hillary and pro-Hillary elements. It was originally conceived and funded by Republicans.

It seems to assert that Papa was under investigation BEFORE and INDEPENDENT OF Page and the Dossier. I have no idea how that was supposed to help the Trump cause.

Without being able to see the classified info behind it to confirm that the Dossier was the only thing used to approve a new Page FISA investigation (which still isn't illegal or necessarily improper, especially if the Dossier is accurate), there is nothing here. It is three pages of complaining about Steele not liking Trump enough to provide the FISA court with very troubling information about Trump and the people in his immediate orbit.

The memo pointed out that in December 2017, then FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe testified that “no surveillance warrant would have been sought” from the FISA court “without the Steele dossier information.”

Yeah some clarification here would be nice. Especially given that FBI was initially monitoring Page 3 years before the dossier was ever written. Two Democratic members of the House Intel say McCabe did not say the dossier was basis of FISA warrant, disputing a central claim of the memo.

So let's see the dems' rebuttal memo.

Agree. Clarification would be nice. How can two Democratic members dispute McCabe's claim given it was testimony given while he was under oath?

"Nunes/Schiff should release transcript of McCabe interview"

Important, necessary and I believe forthcoming.
