Link, you heard anything about an announcement yet?

Was going to be after the AU game or like the day after if we had lost

Now, it is going to be a little later, not sure the exact date.

But, it is a done deal per Scott Kennedy on Scout.com

Done deal for who?

You know what's great about all of this? We don't have to care about Caleb King too much...Ben Tate and Enrique Davis - the future of Auburn's running game.

King Set To Announce

http://recruiting.scout.com/2/591404.html

The long wait is over as five-star running back Caleb King is set to make his commitment at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow morning at Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian High School.

According to Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian Head Coach Jimmy Chupp running back Caleb King is set to make his decision tomorrow morning at the high school. King, the nation’s No. 3 rated running back prospect, will announce at 9:30 a.m. at the Student Family Center at GAC. It is expected that he makes his decision between Georgia and Auburn and rumors have been persistent lately that the Bulldogs are in the driver’s seat. Florida, Notre Dame, USC, LSU, and Tennessee are also teams that King is considering.

King, 5-11 and 196 pounds, transferred to Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian from Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview High School right before the season. He is now out for the year after breaking a bone in his leg. King was hurt on a pass play in which he came out of the backfield on a crossing route. He took a helmet to the lower leg. He finished with 939 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns. Last season King rushed for 2,768 yards at Parkview, the best rushing total by a junior in Georgia high school history.

When it comes to great running backs they usually have a defining attribute, whether it’s speed, quickness, power, or all of the above. But one thing all great backs do have in common is balance. You have to have great balance to be a great back for obvious reasons. When watching King you notice many super qualities like his power and speed. But King has uncanny balance, with the ability to run right through people, run through arm tacklers and more times than not, he always maintains his balance to finish off yet another big run.

King also has the ability to accelerate at full speed out of a cut. He shows excellent vision and the ability to make people miss. King is also a dangerous receiver out of the backfield and once he has the reception in the open field he is so tough to catch or bring down.

dang....i sure would be happy if we somehow managed to get him.

Just be happy with the probable signature of Enrique Davis. The chances of getting King don't look good at this point.

Lets just say that Caleb isn't the one making the decisions in the household....

Scout says King committed to UGA. He was icing the recrutin cake, now we will focus our efforts on the other big names that we need(Ziemba, Bynes, Berry, etc)

I think we gave too much of unnecessary attention to this high school football player....

When we play next year in Athens, he will regret for his decision....

Go Tigers!!!
