Senator chatises party for failing to understand power of faith

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Sen. Barack Obama chastised fellow Democrats Wednesday for failing to "acknowledge the power of faith in the lives of the American people" and said the party must compete for the support of evangelicals and other churchgoing Americans.

Some of them tried to talk the talk in the last presidential election, but alas they got the books of the Bible mixed up and misquoted the verses. It was obvious they were straining to connect with voters with something they had little interest in or knowledge of.

Maybe Obama is different and walks the walk as well as talks the talk.
