NYT Math, Lets take a look....

18 footballers took 97 hours of courses.

If they took all of those hours on 04-05 academic year, (they didnt but just for fun we will say they did) and according to the NYT story there were 272 Directed Readings allowed. By my math, that means that:

272 Kids took the classes.

only 25 % of those were ATHLETES.

and only 7% were footballers. (Probably more like 5% over the true two year window.)

For this "CRIME" the football staff and team get smeared on four pages of the biggest paper in the nation?

Nah, there just could not be any agendas here in that story at all, could there?
