Just because he came later in the process, yet is a better hire than Rodriguez doesn't change the fact that he was later in the process. Can we get a smily that spins?? who is ignoring it? i haven't heard anyone here deny that we tried to get those coaches. i'm sure CNS was at the very top of a wish list, but probably at the very bottom of the "probably can hire" list. i would have never thought no way in hell that CNS would be at bama, no way at all. ever. i am happy that we got a good coach, but i don't see why we would deny that we offered other coaches also? we did. I'll give it 4 years until its thrown out with the "Got Stallings?", "Got Dubose?", "Got Fran?", "Got Price?" and "Got Shula?" ones. Nick has no clue what he's in for.
