Here is a breakdown of rankings in recruiting, national win percentage and Strength of Schedule.

The recruiting rankings are from 2002-2005 according to Scout.com. The national win pct is from 2004-2007 according to Stassen.com. The strength of schedule is obtained from the NCAA website for the seasons from 2004-2007.

Auburn was ranked 20th nationally in recruiting from 2002-2005 according to scout.com. Auburn compiled the 5th best win percentage in the nation from 2004-2007. The Tigers faced an average strength of schedule of 22.0 nationally from 2004-2007, according to the NCAA.

Note that Wisconsin had the 9th highest win pct from 2004-2007, despite an average ranking of 40.3 in recruiting from 2002-2005. Of course facing an average SOS of 68.5 made it easier to win more ball games.
