Who is Givens?

It should be James. I corrected it. As I said, he is a recruiting analyst for IMPACT Ssports. I can't tell you anymore about him.

Ok I'm slow today PT so forgive me but are you saying James Givens is the analysis or LaVoyd James is the recruit that's solid? I thought I saw that Heavens was solid as well, that true? What's with this article on Montez Robinson being on "shaky ground"?

Montez Robinson visited Bama a week or two ago and they started listing him as a "soft verbal". He has since said he is committed to AU. He had a good trip to Bama but said he will be attending AU.

But then any of these kids could change their minds. It's still a long time till NSD.

I thought that was what I heard as well but Rivals has an article on the front page with 'shaky ground' and his picture. I didnt know if this was something new or not.

Givens is a recruiting analyst. After talking to all three, he believes Scott, Stallworth and Heavens are all firm in their commitment to Auburn.

I thought Scott said he was no longer committed several months ago? We are talking about RB Rodney Scott?

He sort of reneged on that a few months ago. Rivals lists him as a soft verbal. Auburn Undercover/Scouts-ESPN has him as a commit. Scout hasn't added him back yet.

This is the game Tubs is playing. He says publicily that he's committed to the spread but it's clear that at least for the remainder of the year, he's going back to the running game primarily. If he hires a spread specialist at the end of the year (assuming he's still there) then, and only then will we be assured that he's sticking with the spread. Keep in mind that most of the offensive recruits we now have like the spread and are being recruited for it. Should be betray that promise, look for many of them to jump ship, like Lutzenkirchen (?sp) Scott and maybe even Heavens. Things are in a real flux right now and I hate that.

Yeah and I thought that recruiting-guru Metafour said that the coaches don't even have him on the board. Huh, I guess things change. B)
