Tigers hammering uat at the half. 47-21. Bonner and boddie each have 10 points, and auburn is shooting 21-37 from the floor at 56.8%. Doubled up the rebounds on uat leading 24-12. Let's hope they keep it going in the second half and continue to pour it on. War Eagle!!!

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -DeWanna Bonner had 18 points and nine rebounds to help No. 6 Auburn coast to an 81-54 victory over Alabama on Sunday.

Whitney Boddie added 12 points and 12 assists for the Tigers (23-1, 8-1 Southeastern Conference), who led by 26 points at halftime. Sherell Hobbs scored 16 points.

Tierney Jenkins led Alabama (12-12, 0-9) with 13 points and seven rebounds.

The Tigers outrebounded the Crimson Tide 51-29 and did most of their scoring damage around the basket, collecting 21 offensive rebounds.

Auburn has won 12 of the last 13 meetings against its in-state rival. The Tide, meanwhile, has dropped 22 consecutive SEC games.

The Tigers held Alabama to only two field goals over the final 12 minutes of the first half for a 47-21 lead, avoiding early struggles that had hampered them at times recently. They scored the final eight points before halftime to cap their highest scoring opening half in an SEC game this season.

Bonner made all eight free throw attempts for Auburn, which hit just one of eight 3-pointers.

Boddie controlled the game in the first half, logging 10 points and 10 assists. She didn't commit a turnover in the game.

The Tigers had 10 players log double-digit minutes.

Varisia Raffington also had 13 points for the Tide, while Ericka Russell added 11.

Auburn shot 49 percent while holding Alabama to 34 percent.
