AUBURN - Auburn's last season in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum will feature the usual SEC fare and nonconference games against Virginia, Niagara and Alabama State.

The university released its 2009-10 schedule Monday.

The Tigers will play in 11 games against teams that made the postseason last year. Auburn was 24-12 overall and 10-6 in the SEC last season. The overall record tied for the second-best in school history, and only league champion LSU had a better conference record.

The nonconference road schedule includes games at Florida State and a neutral site game against North Carolina State. Auburn will also play Alabama A&M in Huntsville. Kentucky is one of the SEC East teams visiting Auburn in the rotating conference schedule.

Auburn starts with an exhibition game against Miles College on Nov. 6 and opens the regular season against Niagara on Nov. 13.

We have some great games scheduled this year, hope we can win some of them.

Is the schedule considered "stronger" than last years? FSU, NC St, Virginia are the key non-conference games.

Last year we had Dayton, Xavier, Northern Iowa, George Washington, and Virginia.

I feel last year had greater numbers, but this year the teams may be considered better (FSU and NCSU). Overall probably pretty similar. So I guess it will take not losing to the likes of High Point and win 10 or 11 SEC games in order to get to the NCAA Tourny. Hell 10 games didn't get us in last year. Gotta win 10 in the SEC and at least one against FSU or NCSU and have no embarrassing losses to the multiple Schools of the Blind.
