They should try to get all their money back because JR was AWFUL while in Oakland.

Why would he possibly give the money back?

It's not like he's going to have a chance to earn that 55M on another NFL team.

Russell, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 NFL draft, was guaranteed $32 million as part of a six-year contract reportedly worth $68 million.

Why would he have to give back any of that money? I don't care how awful he played, Al Davis signed the contract for the Raiders, so Al Davis & the Raiders should pay up.

But I am not a lawyer and have never played one on TV.
