John Kerry, John Edwards, Mary Beth Cahill, Ted Kennedy and several other top Democrats were sitting in a restaurant one evening having drinks after dinner. As usual they were talking campaign strategy. A man came in sat at the bar and ordered a drink. Kerry noticed the man and commented that he was watching and listening. Mary Beth Cahill said she thought he was a Republican spying on them. Concerned, Mr. Kerry got up and went to the bar and asked the man. “What are you doing in here?” The man answered that he was only having a drink. Mr. Kerry said, “No I mean what do you do?” The man replied that he was a taxidermist. Mr. Kerry asked what a taxidermist was and the man replied that he mounted animals. John Kerry turned to his friends and said, “It’s all right he’s one of us!”
