Auburn quarterback Bo Nix was named to the SEC All-Freshman team on Thursday, the league announced.

Nix was Auburn’s lone representative on the team this season. The honor comes a day after Nix was named the SEC’s Freshman of the Year on Wednesday.

Nix, a true freshman, started all 12 games at quarterback for Auburn while helping guide the team to a 9-3 record, including a 5-3 mark in SEC play, as well as a top-10 regular-season finish in the AP poll and a No. 12 ranking in the final College Football Playoff rankings.

Nix, who won the starting job at the end of fall camp after a quarterback competition that spanned the entirety of the offseason, completed 200-of-351 passes for 2,366 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions. He set Auburn freshman records for completions, passing yards and touchdowns, eclipsing marks set by Stan White.

Nix finished the year with 165 consecutive pass attempts without an interception and did not throw a pick at home this season. He also rushed for 301 yards and seven touchdowns on the year.

In SEC play, Nix completed 57.8 percent of his passes for 1,671 yards, 10 touchdowns and four interceptions while rushing for 221 yards and six touchdowns.
