I find it interesting that the only requirement to be a member institution is a $50 annual fee and no buyout while the article says most other conferences have big buyouts and long-term contracts.

Yeah he's a hack. He's helped build the SEC into the mega-power it is and has inspired such loyalty that he doesn't feel the need for a buyout clause. What a terrible director he is.
