You’re right about that - it’s more than catching, but if you don’t do that part, nothing else matters.

Battie will take a KO to the house this year - write it down.

We’ve been too aggressive with NOT fair catching punts all season. I love returning them, but gotta be smarter about when.
-
No unreasonable after sprinting 40 yards, layout out and getting tackled LOL

Oh, I think he definitely can - I was just thinking in terms of depth. Just like Robbie needs some full field reps, I think Payton needed some red zone reps.
-
I have no doubt Robby would score on both the red zone possessions, but as others have said - Payton needs red zone reps too - especially getting ready for the meat of the season.
-
The crossing route (#14) was SOOOOO wide open it hurt, and would have easily moved the chains - why force the throw and turn it over (again)?? Ugh….

Yeah, looking back, I should have bought my son a small house when he started at AU and just told him he’d have to move out on game weekends so I could AirBNB it - what they charge for game weekends near campus would practically pay the mortgage for most of the year. But he’s in his senior year, so too late.

I tried going this week - tickets weren’t the issue, lodging was. Any of the hotels I saw were insanely expensive. Heck, the LaQuinta was like $900 / night. Driving an hour after the game just wasn’t going to do it for me.

Mexico’s Supreme Court decriminalizes abortion nationwide

Sorry - it seems like I confused your point about a non-viable fetus with Rex’s comments about being unable to abort a pregnancy that directly threatened the mothers life. For a non-viable fetus I can understand your point. I’d want there to be an independent second opinion, to ensure there isn’t a mistake, but I could w the that being a point of compromise. But I also think we’re talking about an outlier in the overall abortion argument, kind of like rape and incest. But I certainly see your point. -

This is a change from what you said earlier about being forced to carry a pregnancy that puts the mother’s life at risk. -

Once it IS a stillbirth I agree, but acting as if mistakes aren’t sometimes made isn’t true. However, I could see this as a point of compromise. -

Sorry, but I see absolutely zero evidence of a SINGLE STATE that doesn’t allow abortion when carrying the pregnancy to term endangers the mothers life. If you can provide the law of any state that doesn’t allow for this exception I will happily withdraw my statement. -

Book bans? I mean, why would anyone NOT want pornography in school libraries, right? I assume these are the “bans” you are referring to? I’m definitely not an expert on abortion law in all 50 states, but I haven’t heard of a single state where the mothers life, if truly at risk, was put behind that of the child. Where do you draw the line between a “cyst” and a person and why? -
Praying for strength and healing for Kristi. Also praying for wisdom for the medical professionals caring for her and the Lord’s comfort for you, your two boys and her family and friends.

I’m in the minority, but still like the look.

But - it is better than four turnovers and a “L”…..

My strategy of a mid afternoon nap is coming back to but me in the arse. 3:00 (EST) and now I can’t sleep, and I usually get up at 4:30 - ouch….

He did have a chance, and thank goodness the Cal defender had stone hands or the game would have ended differently. Don’t get me wrong, I like Robby, but he had the same issue with trying to force throws last season too. As CHF said after the game - he’ll take the win, and then be hard on them come Monday. Still have some growing to do, and this game can be built off of.

As much as the offense struggled, let’s give some props to the D. These guys were in bad spots all night long and rose to the occasion! Asante - wow, just wow. The team didn’t roll over - kept fighting, even with all the mental challenges of shooting ourselves in the feet. Winning as you come through adversity pulls a team together and builds mental toughness. It wasn’t the win I was expecting, and we should have done more, but War Eagle Anyway, I’ll take it!!!

Didn’t necessarily deserve it, but the team came together, leaned on the D, never gave up, and found a way to win.
