  1. Apparently Israel now warned civilians to evacuate Gaza City and to move south of the river. Apparently Hamas is not allowing the people to leave - don’t want to lose their human shields. Absolute cowards - attacking Israeli civilians in cold blood, hiding behind their own women and children. It’s no surprise the Hamas fighters cover their faces…..
  2. Don’t disagree, but the problem with them is that Hamas hides in schools, hospitals and mosques. And the vast majority of time the women and elderly are perfectly OK with being human shields for them.
  3. Was just wondering if we at least have a consensus on the board that Israel should, came and will go full apeshit on Hamas? The place will be a parking lot inside of 10 days.
  4. I was at that game as well. Graduated AU the summer before, but was stationed at Ft Benning and came up with 5 of my Army buddies to show them Auburn. The best part was one of my friends was an LSU guy. He gave me crap for the first 3 quarters. I enjoyed the 4th - and the rest of the evening.
  5. A win. And a lot of what I read above, but mostly a win.
  6. It was painful to listen to. I enjoy a healthy debate and civil discourse, but hearing that was more just an uncivil argument and a bunch of personal digs. got maybe 10 minutes in and bailed out of frustration.
  7. A true budget hasn’t been passed since 2006. Congress should have “lock ins” if they cannot pass a balanced budget, on time, as required.
  8. AU for the win - don't care how or by how many
  9. Want to see toilet paper hanging from the oaks at Toomers!!! On a more realistic note: 1) Some level of improvement on the OL 2) Some cohesive play along to get some rhythm. A little throw and catch would be great! 3) Defensively - keep the fight going! Get a couple of turnovers to give us a chance.
  10. So you’re saying there’s a chance……
  11. The best hope we have is for UGA is get one of their characteristically slow starts, maybe give us a short field, defensive score, turnovers, etc and try to capitalize on the environment at Jordan-Hare. It's a longshot ( a VERY long shot) at best. I'm more an optimist than a realist when it comes to Auburn Football...
  12. Some random musings: 1) Play calling could have something to do with it, but the lack of blocking exasperates the situation, as does the compounded impact of pressuring the QB so he doesn't see receivers. Remember, Bo was "panic prone" at AU too - common denominator: OL performance. 2)We knew coming into this season that it was going to be a rebuilding process. I think a lot of us seem to have forgotten that after 3 wins. 3) The team is still fighting, so I'll keep cheering 'em on!
  13. Gus speak was a problem when he was our HC CHF is too honest Solution: Skip the presser after a loss altogether...
  14. More points too And more second half yards….. lol
  15. Asante!!! One of the few bright spots - Let’s Work!!!
  16. I’m surprised we had the time to get those two off…..
  17. Hard to disagree, but tbh the OL isn’t giving them a chance either. That’s likely the biggest issue - winning a few games and pretty soon everyone forgets the roster situation and “realistic” expectations. That being said, I’m frustrated as hell too…….
  18. My day will start like this - wake up at 4:15am, walk the dog, then drive almost 90 minutes with one of my HS daughters to her XC meet. Watcher her run a 5K, drive the same distance back, hopefully will get home before kick off. I’ll be lucky to grill hotdogs at halftime LOL. Wouldn’t trade it for the world though. Her and her twin sister (the other one plays soccer) are the youngest of my 6, and all my kids have been athletes and I’m dreading they day they graduate.
  19. Completely agree - and hope this continues to be the case after the A&M game.
  20. I think one of the bigger differences are who instigates most of the regional violence in the Middle East. Whether Muslim or Jew, it’s their country & culture to do as they wish (within reason of course). But, you don’t see Israel instigating terrorism, rocket attacks, or trying to wipe all the Muslim countries off the map.
  21. That’s why the sun is orange, the sky is blue and the clouds are white, right?
  22. My thoughts: TaMu- Toss up, but less than 50/50 UGA - Likely loss, but a lot closer than what I thought ores season. UGA isn’t as strong, and I think we’re ahead of what I expected. With a couple breaks, this may actually be winnable LSU - Likely loss, but similar to UGA, not as wide of a gap as I thought preseason Ole Miss - Toss up, but lean OM Honestly I haven’t seen much of them this year, but I like our secondary Miss State - Win Vandy - Win, but Vandy seems better than I thought preseason Ark - Toss up, but lean towards AU NMSU - W Iron Bowl - I hate to say it because I don’t want to jinx anything, but I’d call this a toss up with a lean toward bama. But a lot can happen between now and then. A key injury of two can skew this, and a loss or two for them and this team could crumble. I see 7-5 as very possible and maybe even 8-4.
  23. Oh no, that was all season long. I think that (and my 6 kids) is what caused my hair to start turning gray.
  24. I think the biggest differences are: 1) Robby is faster - not just faster than Throne, but faster than just about everyone. 2) Payton is more accurate, and most of the time makes better decisions on the throws (but the forced throw into double coverage when #14 was wide open on the drag keeps coming to mind) 3) And for me one of the biggest differences is when Payton is flushed from the pocket he still keeps his eyes downfield and looks to throw and once Robbie tucks, he’s just off to the races (not necessarily a bad thing with his speed - but sometimes there are better options downfield).
