  1. First of all, you said that no one even mentions the hostages anymore and that Biden fully supports Hamas. Neither of which are true. I posted a video of Biden mentioning the hostages, which should have made you feel better if you were genuinely concerned. Second, I don't like Biden. It's not all Republican vs. Democrat for me. Third, aid to Israel should be conditional. Both sides have committed atrocious acts. One difference is that we are all paying for Israel's weapons, not Palestine's. And Israel has bombed hospitals, killed rescue aid workers (including an American citizen), and killed thousands of civilians.
  2. I heard we are wearing a green and yellow #10 patch this season, as an apology to Nix and to honor his excellent work at Oregon.
  3. We should only accept 10000% commitments.
  4. I wouldn't touch any of these without seeing how Thorne and the DL play this season. I like the Missouri line the best. The truth is Vegas is very good at setting lines. Never bet on your favorite team! It's hard to fight your inherent bias.
  5. It's difficult to watch Fox or msnbc. No news, just party line reactions to news. Can someone please just give me the information? The smartest thing Trump ever did was tap into this with a pithy phrase. Media bias is real, so he can use "fake news" to combat any verified truth he doesn't like and a segment of the population will eat it up.
  6. Auburn is historically a top 15 football team. I'm willing to bet the NIL money for the football program is at least in the top 20. We are not some poverty program and we need to quit acting like one. The problem is we hire coaches no one else wants. And then we act surprised when they suck. Get the right coach in here and AU is easily a top 10-20 football program. With a chance to win at all if we go on a run at the right time in the 12 team playoff.
  7. Same old argument by the same poster who got the last identical thread locked.
  8. Fair enough man. Thanks for the response.
  9. I wish it wasn't political. I'd much rather the politicians stay out of bedrooms, stop inciting voters with morality issues (on both sides), and do their damn jobs. You remain insightful and level-headed. I haven't visited the political side of this forum in a while, mostly because I fail to maintain the latter. But I've read a bit today, and your posts, with which I often fundamentally disagree, are always worthwhile.
  10. That's not what I meant. I enjoy your posts on the football forum so we probably shouldn't get into it. But I don't believe there is a close to significant number of children being coerced into being transgender and going through life altering procedures. Honestly, this thread is wild to me as a whole. As usual, @aubiefiftyposted something well meaning and harmless. Then you have one guy calling LGBTQ a social contagion that will lead to the demise of civilization, a random insertion about anti-semites, gay panic about half of high school kids being LGBTQ, and someone that thinks gays should stay in the closet until after high school. Little too much for me. Hence my facetious response to @I_M4_AU
  11. In a response to a post about about a gay kid, you said earlier that it is best to wait until after teenage years to "choose" the lifestyle that suits you. Then you said there are people in their 60s that still haven't come to grips with their decision. So I was wondering what age you think it is appropriate for gays to choose to live a gay "lifestyle."
  12. What age do you think people should be allowed to be gay?
  13. Your plan for education reformation is less students, less teachers, and more standardized testing?
  14. I don't have a grand thesis statement for this thread. I saw a discussion and thought I'd chime in. You know, to discuss AU football on an AU football discussion board. I did that a couple days ago. You're right, it wasn't hard.
  15. Bo has the second most passing attempts of any AU QB ever. That's why he's the 3rd all time leading passer. He played a bunch of snaps during the modern era where we sling it around. He just wasn't very good at AU. He was defended on this forum disproportionately to his contributions. He made a very smart decision to transfer to a team with the perfect system for him, and he played extremely well there. Good for him and wish him the best of luck.
  16. I wasn't clear, but my point was a successful coach needs to recruit guys to stay. When it's in the team and player's best interest. Next season's team would look a lot better with Harris, James, Pritchett, Simpson, Harris, and Rogers. And, arguably, those guys would have been better off with another year at Auburn. Recruiting these guys to stay is huge.
  17. Even with the portal on top of HS recruiting, retaining players for their post-draft eligible years, when it benefits the team AND the player, is an incredibly important part of recruiting.
  18. This is exactly right. The fact is he didn't play very well at Auburn and if you pointed that out there was a large group that just couldn't take it. Seth Williams bailed out Bo over and over again and was treated much worse by this forum.
  19. I'll take my medicine. When Bo left Auburn, I would have bet a million dollars he'd never go in the first round of the draft. I didn't like his play at Auburn at all. Good for him. Wish him the best of luck.
  20. I agree the receivers were bad, but I also agree with Cole's assessment of Thorne. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
  21. Thorne is not taking this team to the playoffs. But we could maybe get to 8 wins now. Win the bowl game for once and I'd be happy with a 9-4 finish.
  22. Freeze has landed solid contributors but not big fish from the portal. So I'm going to guess "no" and hope that I'm wrong.
  23. Like the majority of our transfers out, Wes is gone because AU didn't want him anymore. He is no longer useful, so he is benched and/or asked to leave. That's fine, it's the only way to win games. But then you can't expect someone like Hood to be loyal. AU wanted Hood to stay. He HAS progressed and knows where he stands, which is a good spot. He must be leaving for what he sees as a better opportunity, whether due to money, family, personal reasons, who knows. I don't love any of it but I don't fault the players more than the coaching staff.
